Great skills Mike, a great help. I was wondering if it's possible to just use part of the shell, say for example the arm for a prosthetic arm. Have a great day and peace from Scotland

Yes, of course - just like I make a separate shell piece for the arms, just make thee piece for only part of the arm. It's actually a far easier process but if you get stuck let me know and I'll see if I can do a quick one just for this. (And great to hear from your country - my FAVORITE accent of all time!)

Way cool, Mike. Thank you. I have a Deadpool asset and many others I thought I’d never get to use in CC4.

I was actually going to do a whole tutorial on my own Deadpool - he's unique in that I brought in the body but attached a head I scanned and made into a mesh using Headshop2. Let me know how you go with yours!

This is a spaghetti against the wall comment, but does the auto-hide mesh tool work?

Yes and no - it's worth a try sometimes, and sometimes it works well, but there are many times when it's just easier to do yourself. I tend to not bother except when I have a ton of clothing items that I don't want to go through each one separately (that's when it works the best, when you have layers like a shirt, vest and jacket and would otherwise need to hide them all one at a time). For things like this when I'm just hiding the body mesh I nearly always do it myself. Also here's a note to be aware of - many times the hidden mesh will COME BACK. It depends on what you do - if you apply new textures to the item, for example, it resets the hidden mesh (it should not do this and I've complained to the devs but they don't seem to want to fix this). There are other things that make it happen, enough that it's a frustrating process sometimes and you feel like you are chasing your tail. Now - if you don't mind baking the avatar (which is a permanent process and doesn't allow you to change things afterwards but you might be happy with the way it is) once you export it using LOD it WILL delete the hidden mesh and you won't ever have that problem again. I might do a whole tutorial on this issue sometime.
