Gerber has been doing a lot of hard work to reinvigorate the brand. I’ve been an outside part of it for years now, being invited to their factory in 2018 to see what steps they have taken to improve. The fastball was the first avenger if you will. They are continuing in this direction, while keeping some budget stuff in their portfolio to get the sales they need to improve. Contrary to every knife reviewer on KZbin, most knife sales are under the 50$ price point. Less than 20% or so of the community spend more than 100$ on a knife. Kershaw has said they can shut ZT down tomorrow and it wouldn’t hurt them at all. The high end knives are for the minority, and gerber is slowly but surely making more for them. Great review! I've got both of them. Zilch is really lightweight, super smooth. Great knife - I've got 3 in different colors :) Affinity is also cool but a bit heavier. D2 is definitively a plus. Cheers!

How do you adjust the pivot when it has a fastener with a square hole? If I can’t adjust the pivot or disassemble the knife, I won’t buy it.

Try the paraframe mid size, that one I like proportion. Best for peeling an orange!

Good review. I am also a fan of the Zilch. Really well done by Gerber. I'd like to see some upgraded versions of it as well.
