Talli Faye's German Yeast Buttermilk biscuits 1 C. warm water 1 Pkg. dry yeast (or Quick rise in jar 2 1/4 tsp) Stir and add in 1/4 C sugar Then set off to the side near a warm place covered lightly. In a separate bowl, add in a mixer 5 C A/P flour 1/4 C. Sugar 4 tsps. Baking POWDER & 1/2 tsp. Baking SODA Mix together and add 2 C Buttermilk 1/2 C. Oil 2 tsp salt When yeast mixture foams, add to the above and mix well with mixer. Cover in refrigerator overnight. PREHEAT 400 degree oven, Spoon heaping tablespoon of batter into greased muffin pans and bake for 15 minutes .******************************** Batter good in refrigerator for one week.

I had to give my Mom up in 2017 to Alzheimer's after a 5 year battle. I miss her more everyday. She used to say that her rwo girls would rather read a cookbook than any novel written. Oh sweet Talli Faye, I absolutely love watching you! I’m 35 years old and I have Cerebral Palsy. Cooking is the best therapy and even when my day is terrible and everything in my body hurts, I turn on a video of yours and I just forget about it immediately because you remind me of my beautiful grandma. Talli Faye I’m so happy for you and i know it took you back to your childhood !! I know your momma was cooking with you making her biscuits / rolls !! i’ll bet you could bake the dough up when the 7 days get close snd put the baked biscuits in the freezer and just warm them in the microwave for 30-45 seconds , you could even make up breakfast sandwiches and individually wrap in clear wrap and put a few in a freezer bag and freeze and takeout when needed !!! you could probably even use the dough to make waffles or pancakes , or hoecakes in a 6-8 inch cast iron skillet !! So many things your mommas biscuit dough could be used to make and enjoy ! And i love how it doubles in size over night in the fridge !! Thank you for sharing this priceless recipe with us Talli Faye ! I’ll be making this recipe up very soon and i’ve already shared the video with my family and FB friends !! Stay warm ❤️🙏🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈

That means I must believe in God’s plan… what is it?.. what was it for my parents?… I don’t know… What I do know is that I believe in his plan cause I know it’s the best rather I ever understand it or not…. I find strength in believing in his plan therefore accepting it… The joy in my heart is believing that the biggest part of his plan is that we will be together forever, just in his time…. I was so blessed with happy, loving, wonderful parents that will forever bring smiles to my heart with memories that will bless me until I’m with them again in joy unimaginable 🥰…. Oh my goodness, your Mom's handwriting looks just like my Grandma's on their recipes--and she happened to be full blooded German! Those T & T recipes from our Momma's & Grandma's (and Aunts) are the best! I use the jars of yeast myself, when I don't buy the 1 or 2 pound blocks & always store them in the refrigerator. I have noticed that when I make bread it helps the rising to let it come to room temp before I use it (especially when it's humid). I am always in sweats unless I leave home. My grands moved up here from Texas just before Christmas and are still adjusting to the temps. The next few nights will be challenging when the highs will be below zero. I’m so glad you found that treasured recipe. An old lady gave me a recipe similar to that when my kids were little. You made them up and put them in the fridge. Every morning I’d pinch off what I needed. They were the best after three days. Tasted like a cross between a roll and a biscuit. Much better than nasty canned biscuits and way more healthy. She called them sour dough biscuits.
