Definitely "Not Scared" of pressure cooking. My momma used them, and gifted me a 4qt Mirro Matic when i was a young bride at just 19 years of age. I went on to also collect and use, 6qt and 8qt stovetop models. Today i also have 3qt, 6qt, and 8qt Instant Pot pressure cookers. I quickly made chicken and noodles for my 8 year old g'granddaughter, a couple of days ago. (I Sauteed carrot, celery, & onion, in butter, added cooked diced chicken, chicken broth, noodles, salt, pepper, garlic, poultry seasoning, curry powder, oregano, a bit of chicken base.) 5 minutes under pressure in my 3qt Instant Pot. Done! One happy G'G'baby.

Talli, Talli, Talli Faye! Brace yourself girl because I'm gonna tell you something--WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!!! You are the most unique and beautiful Lady and I absolutely love you! First of all you have the best attitude every day. You are always both grateful and positive and remind me that there is no reason to look at the day as any less than what it is-a gift God gives me every time I am blessed enough to wake up. It helps remind me that I have a gift and there is no reason to look at today as any less than a precious opportunity to do anything I want to. When it comes to cooking I can make something I have made a million times or try something new. If it doesn't turn out the way it's supposed to then who knows, I may like it just as much as what I expected, or even better. If I don't like it then so what? I still had a good time trying something out! The only way I failed is if I didn't try. I love how you always say that I should feel free to do something the way I want to or have always done. We are all taught or developed our own way of doing things and it will never be just like someone else's style but really, should that be a surprise? God made us all unique & that's a beautiful thing. How boring would the world be if we were all alike? You & I do have a lot in common though--for one we rarely measure anything! While I always got so frustrated with Grams for that very thing when I tried to write down her 'recipes', I now consider that one of the best gifts I inherited from her! I do believe it is one of the things that has made me a great cook. Thank you sweet Lady for this recipe (my son & I love Taquitos and I've never made them before) and for being YOU!!! ❤❤❤

Oooo girl, I love that top !! We are Blessed if we open our eyes every morning and even if we didn’t. I have used a pressure cooker all my life and learned from my mama. Never had a problem. I am now 72 and still cooking. I just finished fryin up some ground turkey meat for enchilada, taco or anything. I will freeze it so when I don’t feel well or tired I can always pull from the freezer. Have a beautiful day everyone out there in virtual land. 🤠🎚️🙏❤️💐🗽🗽

I’m thankful that you have the energy to can/freeze this bountiful blessing. If you ever have time (ya, right), I wish you would do a short video of the garden, corn, and chickens. I think quite a few of us would love to see that. Blessings to you and Buzz.

Years ago my mother was making pea soup in the pressure cooker. Well the top blew off and we had pea soup on the ceiling, on the counter, and on the floor. Mother was a wonderful Christian lady, but that day we heard a naughty word. Us kids laughed so hard, which didn’t help matters. Needless to say, we helped with the cleanup and ate whatever pea soup that was left. 😁😁

When I make Taquito’s I make “glue” with flour and water and put some on the edge of the corn tortilla to seal it when I roll them up, that way you won’t have to worry about the Taquito’s ever opening up and they hold their shape. I use the InstaPot pressure cooker and I love it because I don’t have to baby sit the pressure cocker which is very tricky if you use an electric stove, been there and done that. Wishing you a great day Talli Faye, your Texas sister! 😁

I totally enjoy your videos and southern cooking. I enjoy your garden growing and fresh vegetables. I am from New Mexico. I I'm shocked with how much cumin you are using. That is a very strong seasoning. We love taquitos, and I can't wait to try your recipe. I would just have to leave out the cumin. It is so amazing about how different people have different taste buds. Some people love different seasonings where others don't. This is a great idea and great technique for taquitos.

Thanks so much for being in the kitchen with me for the day!.. The taquitos turned out really good… I knew my viewers would think it was a lot of seasoning lol 😂… That’s what’s great about doing it this way, so folks can do their own take on creating their favorite flavors of spices to it!.. I actually saved my pot liquor to make like an enchilada gravy !.. I’ll use it to ladle over them with cheese and onions and bake it up kinda like an enchilada dish!… That’s just me doing Talli Faye stuff lol 😂
