I'm an anglophile, but some of you asked me what Germans have with their tea when it's Christmas time. I'm going to show you some typical christmassy treats from my country and a very widespread tradition: my Advent wreath.

Where are you from?
- I am from Bavaria, hence my accent. :)
Why Miss Anglophilia?
- At the age of ten, I had my first encounter with the English language at school. My teacher never tired of telling us inspirational stories about culture “on the island”. And that was it - I fell in love with it all! So Miss Anglophilia is me and it has been for many years.
Is this just about England?
- As for me, it all started with England which we were taught a lot about at school. I was lucky enough to live in England for a little while during my university years. There, I got to know many lovely people - not only English, but also Scottish, Welsh and Irish. So for me, “anglophilia” doesn’t stop at the English borders.
What does "Servus" mean?
- It's a Bavarian word used to greet people that you know and like. :)

Yes, Spekulatius can only be enjoyed properly when dunked! That's an absolute must! 😄 I think the dunking brings out the flavour of the spices even more, absolutely love it! 😍

The two things I do at Christmas to celebrate German traditions are to buy my brother a Christmas stollen and also we make homemade marzipan fruits and vegetables 🌽🍓 !

Meine absoluten Favoriten sind die Nürnberger Lebkuchen mit Zuckerguss und die Spekulatius mit Mandelblättchen hinten drauf.....und dazu eine heiße Schokolade!!! 😊
