Where are you from?
- I am from Bavaria, hence my accent. :)
Why Miss Anglophilia?
- At the age of ten, I had my first encounter with the English language at school. My teacher never tired of telling us inspirational stories about culture “on the island”. And that was it - I fell in love with it all! So Miss Anglophilia is me and it has been for many years.
Is this just about England?
- As for me, it all started with England which we were taught a lot about at school. I was lucky enough to live in England for a little while during my university years. There, I got to know many lovely people - not only English, but also Scottish, Welsh and Irish. So for me, “anglophilia” doesn’t stop at the English borders.
What does "Servus" mean?
- It's a Bavarian word used to greet people that you know and like. :)

Oh man, I LOVE cheddar scones!!! I was just telling my friend yesterday about some AMAZING ones I had warm with homemade soup in England on our trip. I WANT THAT NOW! Would be great for lunch... mmmm

Actually, I was thinking of you when I made them. I thought to myself, Dara must love them, because there's so much cheese in them. ;-) Great to hear that I was right. I'd say, "Come over and have some!" - but I think that's impossible. :-)

Actually I've never tried savoury scones before, but these really look delicious! Although cheese makes pretty much any savoury dish better, so I guess you can't go wrong with these anyway! 🧀😉

When I tried them the first time, I was really amazed how good they were. I still remember, it was a windy and cold day in England. The best thing to do was visit a museum. They had a little café, too, and there I tried them. It was the perfect choice for that cold day! :)

Das Scones Rezept werde ich auch jeden Fall auch ausprobieren, das lässt sich ja ganz einfach veganisieren. Dein gedeckter Tisch sieht so einladend aus, da würde ich mich gerne hinzusetzen!! Bei dir sieht es echt gemütlich aus. Danke für dieses schöne Video. Nur eine kleine Anmerkung Scones schneidet man eigentlich nicht mit dem Messer auf, sondern "reißt" sie mit den Händen auseinander 😉
