Hello, I was wondering what the difference between "ab" and "von/vom" is? is there also a rule for the use of when to use each?

technically im, & am are contractions using the preposition(s) [in, an, etc.] plus the dative definite article: dem. in + dem = im, an + dem = am. likely "um" is also a contraction. however, I am unfamiliar with what it would be. assuming it is a contraction at all. The answer to the homework questions are as follows: um, am, & im.

Hello Anja, in the video above, at time 1:33, the text at the top should be “am” not “im”. I think this is a typo.
