Nice to see this , wonderful how the Gerry’s edited the sounds. Obviously all sounds are similar and taken on the ground. As airplanes move the sound of a gun would barely audible. Thanks for sharing

The narrator from the first part is the same as the normal Wochenschau series. He survived the war and there was a question as to whether he should be held responsible for his role but I believe that he was not charged. The guy narrating the Elbrus material I don't know about

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Giese the german version is more extensive, he struggled to find work after World War 2 because his voice was too famous so he was rejected as narrator for the Neue Deutsche Wochenschau, so he had to rely on his wife's income as a teacher. However he acted as a voice actor in various german dubs of foreign films in the 50s to 70s

Great footage and reporting.....however the Elbrus campaign caused Hitler a great deal of displeasure and anger over the resources used and objective taken.....vs other goals that instead could have been reached. He saw it as basically grandstanding with no real advantage gained.

Most historians agree that they lost the war because of ideology. For example: instead of really ally with the Slavic states/ population...They saw them as subhumans. Anyway, the uniforms, discipline, weapons, style, etc are the best by far.
