Hi again, there are several words, that cause a change in German word order. "dass" for example sends the verb to the end, "weil" is another example and so does "wenn".

@Petra Staal, as an Englishman, I don't find it too difficult to learn. The only issue I'm having is where the accusative object goes when time is involved. "Ich treffe meinen Bruder in vierzig Minuten," Bruder is the accusative object here and it comes after the verb treffe and just before time, but in, "Ich möchte in vierzig Minuten Fußball spielen," the accusative object, Fußball, comes after time. I don't know if there is another grammar rule that I'm missing here or what. Do you perhaps know the answer? I'm assuming it has something to do with there being two verbs in the second sentence.
@PetraStaal4 жыл бұрын
@@charlierashi100 Hi, When there are two verbs in a sentence, the second one goes at the end. 'treffe and' meinen Bruder' go together. And 'Fussball spielen' also go together, and because it is the second verb it goes to the end of the sentence. I hope I got this right. Can a native speaker of German please confirm this? (sorry for my poor English!)
@kokoxo_2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! This made it so so much easier. I just have one question tho, can you elaborate on whether TeKaMoLo is relevent when considering "," sentences with subordinate clause and conjunctions?
