Sour, anti-German pundits. Well deserved win by Germany, who never stopped fighting. VAR or not.

Germany was the better team, but they won because of the referee. It was disgusting to witness. Ref favoring the big countries, I've seen that before...

They might have some anti-German coming from their pro-Englishness. It's one possible way Irish people react to the past. Some people end up with an anti English sentiment and others fall over themselves to display no sign of that, to the point of supporting them in a football tournament and shaming themselves and their ancestors for all eternity!

@@HolgerDanske874 Bro it's not because he was trying to favor us but because he's just a terrible referee. Him taking back Schlotterbeck's goal at the beginning was also a very soft call. The handball rule is disgusting but that penalty would have been given in any other game of this tournament too. The Sterling penalty against Denmark in 2021 was completely different because Sterling actually dived, you should be much more pissed off about that than anything that happened against Germany.

@@mauricefricke6236 Look at the goal again. Kimmich doesn't even look at the goal or ball. He is only looking at the Danish defender and is even making a body tackling on him.
@mauricefricke62366 ай бұрын
@@HolgerDanske874 Yes you can call it but such things always happen during corners. If Schlotterbeck had headed it onto the post then Oliver certainly wouldn't have called Kimmich's foul. He only called it because a goal was scored.

That first goal by Germany should've never been disallowed.
@HolgerDanske8746 ай бұрын
Yeah, it should. Germany player wasn't interested in the ball but only to block the Danish player.

Well there was a foul in the box. There usually is and, in this case, there was.

Germany brilliant, never stopped attacking from the first moment. Handball in the box cop onto yourselves.

It’s simple, just leave it up to the ref in the moment, like it always was. The margin is so fine that there is no advantage if the ref or linesman doesn’t spot it so just play on and let the goals go in. Why is it so hard now that we have VAR it’s just ruining everything to a point where it’s almost unplayable. The refs and linesmen are just as part of the game as the players, just let it be a human decision we don’t need this and never have. Goal line decisions maybe but otherwise just let the subjectivity be party of it or you lose moments like Denmark scoring and lifting the roof off the place, over what? A toe? Ridiculous.

too many goals have been disallowed this Tournament 😊

The more important thing is whether good goals have been disallowed.

Why this discussion about hands? There is an objective touch with a hand up and just a lot of subjective interpretations and opinions….the modern game is getting faster and faster and therefore the VAR is the is the only tool for objective decisions….

You saw the same game? Chances, shots on goal, possessions all favored Germany. The Kimmich foul was a normal block in a corner. No! Denmark shouldn't have won... and Michael Oliver was going by the book. Let's see how England plays and how the debate goes when it's the England that benefits.
