The weird part is, you remove the communists from your country, and after that an advisor that literally wanted more cooperation with socialists, and he wanted to "merge" national socialism with socialism become available.

strasser was never any sort of communist, and also never wanted to "merge" nazism with communism. his entire strategy was to attempt to steal potential recruits from communism in the highly industrialized north of germany, where communism was quite appealing. he could be described as a reactionary socialist, a tendency engels attacked in the principles of communism.
