I'm a Portuguese fan and I think your analysis touched the right points. I would add just a detailed analysis of Portugal first goal. It was a great counter attack movement (with a supersonic run by Ronaldo). A super quick play with the Portuguese team enjoying a 4 vs 3 situation. Ronaldo's run attracted Kai Havertz attention opening the space for Diogo Jota that was totally free to receive the ball and assist Ronaldo. Continue with these nice videos, Nouman!

Very nice analysis for a great game! Thank you much! I'm watching it the second time today in the ARD Mediathek haha :D. Very nice scene is the one before the 1:1 equalisation goal for Germany: In the build up for the attack you can see Müller taking the ball from low midfield to the front line and conducting the game plan, when he shows Gosens to run forward into the open space. Müller now arriving near the penalty box waits and draws the defenders to him, than he passes to Kimmich, who then plays a beautiful cross with his left foot to Gosens - and here not only to Gosens, but into the space, where he wants Gosens to be, where he can play the most dangerous passing. Brilliant play! (p.s. in the german tv they showed offside lines for the non given first Gosens goal (1:0) and explained the officials called offside rule. It was no handplay from Müller because, he was doing a natural movement on the ground and the ball accidentally hits his hand. Natural movement/accidential handball can only be called, when it directly effects a goal or a goal defense, not much earlier.)

I believe that two center-middle fielders (CDMs) in Portugal had not been performing well during the match in order to defend. Two volantes were not enough well to protect the defensive line and cover the side instead of the full-backs. Portuguese full-backs missed Gosense the German side back in so many times. With combined, these things made a huge impact on the collapse of the Portugal team's defensive strategy. I believe Portugal would do better if, in the second half, CDMs switched on who could protect the defense line better instead of being Bernardo Silver out.
