My childhood would have been so much duller without Gerry and his team in the 60's and 70's. When watching the Pod shows It made me think of my earliest Anderson memory. I have a very very vague memory of Twizzle (I would have been not much more than a baby really) but have no recollection at all of (the truly awful) Torchy or Four Feather Falls. After that my next memory is of Supercar although it is a bit grey in the midst of time and then of course Fireball XL5, but without a doubt it is Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet that like many others, will always be the shows that had the biggest effect on me and will live with me forever. Thank you Gerry for all the amazing memories ❤

Gerry Anderson's TV shows and movies hold a special place in my heart even though I only watched the re-runs of Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet in the early 2000's as I was born in 1996. Looking back now, I find it strange how no-one has thought about creating live action adaptations (even though the 2005 Thunderbirds film flopped) or AAA video games based on Gerry Anderson's creations. Nowadays everything is all Star Wars, Marvel etc.

Thank you Gerry. Your works rank alongside Doctor Who as some of my favourite TV shows. You were a visionary who revolutionized television and you have changed the lives of many people. I specifically have a vivid memory of watching your shows. In around 2017, was at a restaurant in Southport with my family, waiting for my food. I was a bit bored so my dad put on Trapped in the Sky on his phone for me to watch and I was captivated by it. I then delved deeper into your shows and found them great and enticing to my young mind. I was ecstatic when last year, I opened up one of my presents to find the Captain Scarlet 50th Anniversary Big Finish boxset inside. Long story short: thank you so much for bringing me and millions of other people around the world so much happiness. May your legacy, whether it be puppets or live action or stop motion or CGI, fly amongst the stars. Until we meet in the great beyond, F.A.B. Gerry Anderson: 14 April 1929 26 December 2012

That is a great tribute video !! Gerry's work deserves all of the praise ever given to it.. The Movie, 'Crossroads to crime' is often given poor reviews.. But, It is actually a better representation of 1960's transport crime than people realize? I was a driver in those days, and I have seen a lot of worse and less realistic films about the profession? I think it is also very fitting that you mentioned all of the great talent that worked under Gerry's banner.. Their efforts stood tall in the British ...No .. The World's, film industry..

Thanks lads! A terrific snapshot of Gerry's work and how he brought the right people together to make shows way ahead of their time! I grew up watching Thunderbirds , and later , Space 1999, but TB will always be my favourite. No amount of CGI can compete with the masterful skill of Supermarionation! I still watch Thunderbirds now and have the box set on DVD. FAB. Cheers Gregg.

Take a bow Chris. Brilliant editing and more information than I had ever heard of, or seen before. We will never know how many books, movies, puppetry, TV shows and even plays, inspired by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's creations, were made as a result of growing up with those productions. I look forward to the next Podcast. Kiwi David. 🇳🇿

I will forever be a fan of Gerry Anderson even after I grow old and pass on. I have all his TV Shows and films, apart from Twizzle, and I do a yearly tradition of going through each production to see the highs and lows of a true filming maestro. To every fan and friend of Gerry Anderson let's continue enjoying his work for years to come. F.A.B

Shame there wasn't a mention of the most recent Thunderbirds series -- "Thunderbirds Are GO!" -- because even though a lot of folks aren't keen on the use of CGI to render the cast and characters, the truth is a lot of the series' writing was top notch, and the adaptation for a different re-telling of the show's story and such was just what was needed for the 21st Century. While I'll always be a fan of the original Supermarionation series, the CGI series is one of my all-time favorite versions of Mr. Anderson's most popular action adventures.

It wasn’t mentioned because it wasn’t a Gerry Anderson or Anderson Entertainment produced series.

I'm pretty sure that Gerry would have been happy with the show? It's a pity that it is not as well loved. But, I certainly liked it? Thanks to DVD, we can all get to enjoy the revamped stories, many based on the original show's memorable characters and episodes..

Before George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Stanley Kubrick, there was Gerry Anderson. I feel like more people need to know about Sir Anderson and his many shows. Without them, science fiction wouldn't be the same. To me at least. I saw Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds before Star Wars, so that's why he is important to me. RIP Gerry and Sylvia Anderson for your decade of amazing science fiction, together with the puppet cast.

Great listing of the classic shows! Space Police had some cool puppets, followed by the classic Space Precinct. Firestorm could've been awesome with a full season of episodes to revive puppets with even better technology/movement/green screen. Interested in seeing what Terrahawks Kate Kestral will be like. If they can capture the look of puppets, that could be nice to see. Topping Moya Griffiths' singing voice and style will be a challenge.
