My Big Cat Diary

Ever since the BBC made the Big Cat Diary series in 1996 I was hooked. The scenery, the Wildlife and the presenters created a story to which I was addicted and am still a great fan. It was in 2005 when we first came to Africa . We could not believe the beauty of what we found when we first set foot in the Mara. I feel drawn to the Mara like no other place but this year (2020) it has proved impossible to travel. Instead I have decided to do what I can to bring the Mara to you. In 2009 we visited several places in Kenya including the Mara. There we found some old friends in the guise of well known Cats from the BBC series. Unfortunately I cannot bring Jonathan Scott, Saba and Simon King along but I we did meet and stay with Jackson at Rekero. As a Big Cat fan I hope this video may bring back some of the memories of that brillaint series . Why did they stop it?????

Thanks for watching the video. They were certainly the masters of their craft. The big cat dvd’s sit safely on my book shelf. The recent BBC programme was rather a cold shower though for the future of the big cats.
