$158 is just crazy. I understand smaller companies not having large buying power but that's a bit too high. $99 was my guess before I went to the site and when I saw $160 I was very very blown away. Easily $20 in materials, $10-15 in shipping. At this price 3D printing unfortunately comes to mind. I wanted to support one of these companies being a business owner myself but not at that price. Best looking stock I've seen though I will give them that, the simplistic design I love a lot.

I agree the price is steep, but the quality is very similar to my ProTube MagTube, which is even more expensive than this and way less adjustable on the fly. I’m really hoping WieldVR optimizes their manufacturing process to lower the price even more, but it’s miles ahead of the other two gunstocks I own besides the ProTube one, which are both in the 100-120 dollars range and are much muuuch worse in quality.

Most 3D-printed ones you can find that give you a poor gaming experience are around $120 with shipping included. With 30% extra cost we give your unparalleled quality and ease of use. The prices you listed are half of the reality. Shipping is $20-30 depending on location and the plastic parts alone cost way more than $20 since they we don't just 3D-print them on our office shelf. The rest of the parts also total more than $20 so your estimate is quite far off. With 3D-printing there would have to be severe compromises to the design and we would lose everything that sets this product apart from the rest. And that would not be worth it to cut the price by a couple dozen bucks.

​@@VRManCave Also on the MagTube all the parts that touch your body (controller cups and cheek rest) are 3D-printed with a rough and irritating texture. We get it why they do that though, the material cost alone is 1/10 of the material we use and the printing process is also cheaper than how ours is made.

What? I paid $130 for a 3D printed one that was clunky, couldn't be changed on the fly without tools, AND one of the holders broke after only a few weeks of using it. And that one didn't come with a strap or anything. Considering the quality (All real molded plastic not 3D printed junk) and like 6 different ports for the leather strap to have it hang how every you want single or double style I think it's worth every penny.

What I missed in the video: actual footage of the "conversion" from gunless to gun (like in Tabor, where that scene was skipped/deleted) and the switch to and from pistol. I don't yet have a gunstock, but am looking for one and this transision is one of the points I'm unsure about. If no hand grips the stock, your really have to find it first with either hand. Also, how is the transition going ingame? I mean, you are already holding the gun in the game; to grip the stock, you'd then have to let go of the weapon and grip it as such? Also, having the controllers on top... isn't that counter-intuitive? You grab a "normal" on the bottom, so doing a weird motion around the stock and coming to it from above seems weird. But maybe I'm thinking too much about that stuff^^ The problem is: the return policy isn't always clear, especially with small companies, so trying isn't often an option. Edit: this is also one of the few gunstocks, that don't have a magnet, so you have to grip not only your controller, the "grip" button, but also the cup. Does that really actually work that great? Thanks!

@@Memes-jn2sf it is expensive, no doubt. But it’s not 3D printed crap like most others on the market and the adjustability is just next level. I own a few others as shown in the video and never use them because I can’t adjust them on the fly without tools or taking off the headset.

While I haven't tested any of the ones you're mentioning, I have looked at them many times and it seems they're even less adjustable. They all technically do the job but for me it ruins the immersion when all the guns in game have to conform to the same shape in real life due to lack of adjustability in gunstocks.

When it comes to going cheap you get what you pay for unfortunately. I got a cheap one first and I was very disappointed. Threw it out after a week. Went for a more expensive one after that and it was 3D printed junk that broke after a few weeks and couldn't be adjusted without tools. This one though works like a dream and the leather strap it comes with with like 6 different ports to attach it to either single our double strap style makes it a DREAM. Easy to drop to switch to a sidearm and then pick back up to go back to a rifle without every having to take off your headset. Took me less than an hour to get used to it and flip the little level with my finger to adjust to different weapon lengths or use for a pump action shotgun. Been having a blast with it so far. 10/10 You get what you pay for 100%

Hey hi. I've ordered a reverse Marksman from vrokvr or something (he's in New Zealand), but I mostly play Ghosts of Tabor, and I strongly doubt I'll be using a stock for that game because we must do many off weapon movements. I feel like a stock will be a burden.

It’s not cheap, that’s for sure. For me it’s the only one I actually enjoy using, even compared to even more expensive alternatives. The adjustability on the fly is absolutely clutch and I don’t quite get how other companies aren’t doing the same.

I build an own Gunstock with an bat and the Toilette paper middle Thing.. dont know what the Name in englisch is.. i have not many custom Features and must hold the complete weight by my own but i can easly remove my controller to reload and other

It is expensive, but no more expensive than other premium stocks on the market that I also own and are much worse from every point of view. It’s not 3D printed and the adjustability alone makes it worth the pricetag. Definitely not affordable for everyone, but worth every cent.
