@@Estrategista29 not as good for hypertrophy though. for hypertrophy you want to focus more on tension production (going slower, more reps, TUT) and while on strength you want to to focus more on power output (explosiveness, more on technique and execution to make the lift easier)

@bjeanty2452
@bjeanty2452 3 жыл бұрын
@@mounir9899 it is bullshit but not if you don’t have the proper mind to muscle connection (most people don’t). You have to develop a strong mind muscle connection with your late and arms before you start doing explosive reps, otherwise your form will quickly go to shit. Before doing weighted pull ups Austin did a lot of static and slow pull up work to perfect his form in the movement, so when he does explosive reps he’s recruiting all the right muscles thanks to the foundational connection he built. Most people jump into explosive training without building that foundation and end up with a shit ton of muscle imbalances. Develop proper MMC first, then move to explosive reps. Apply that philosophy with every movement.

I started weighted calisthenics about a year ago but never looked into a chain style belt. I first started out holding a 45lb plate with my thighs, which is also the best way to do weighted leg raises (windshield wipers/around the world's). I ended up using a nylon strap to better control the length of how low the plates hang. I keep them close and not low. I'm up to 6x45lb plates, had to get creative on hanging them.

Here's a hack I found: Instead of a dip belt, buy a rock climbing harness and a sling. You can easily detach the weight between sets and it costs only about $10 more and you can take the harness rock climbing/mountaineering. Plus, it's a lot more comfortable and doesn't make noise like the dip belt does.
