Uber Man i drove with cargo in my van for over a month. i did over 200 rides and i only sold 5 items for a whopping $1.25. i offered during rides and it only made things awkward. glad i sent it back.

NOTHING IS FREE...Also ...DON'T GIVE AWAY OR SELL SNACKS OR WATER....one day it will happen...we live in a very litigious world...a pax will sue both you and Uber claiming they got sick from a water or candy or whatever they got in an Uber. This advice was given to me over a year ago by an international litigation attorney I picked up at Newark Airport. $50 a month is not worth the potential problem...plus..finding wrappers in your back seat

Been trying this for the past couple of days. Quiet annoying in a small car. Camry, Corolla etc. Your elbow will keep hitting it. Especially when you get in your car and put your elboe on it for support. You'll even hit it while trying to make aggressive right turns. Most of the passengers haven't even noticed it. I'll still keep it for a few more weeks to test it out. But the reduced space is pretty annoying.

Cargo is nice!!! I’ve had for 3 months and average $200 to $250 per month. People love free stuff. I earn $1 per order. It does not matter if it’s a free item or non free item. If a passenger buys something then I earn a 25% commission on top of the $1. Plus as a driver, you get 1 free item every day you drive. Oh let me not forget to tell you about the bonuses. There are bonus opportunities weekly and monthly. All bonus are based on how many orders you get.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but there is a hidden cost to anything you get free. According to what I have learned in Tax class. the company reports the fair market value of all those products, and we have to pay taxes on that value each year as income. Unfortunately Free is not really free. We may be able to offset some of that cost by claiming the expense if your use of your personal vehicle for business is more than 50% of your use.

Yes, all expenses related to your business can be put in as a deduction, under different classifications, depending on what the expense is., but your personal vehicle must be used more than 50% of the time for business, to qualify for deductions.

The idea and design of the box looks nice, but there are many flaws with Cargo, which will result in their downfall if they don't make changes.There needs to be a way to pay for items without entering your credit card or using your phone. As a passenger who's never heard of Cargo, I wouldn't enter my information, even if I wanted something being sold. Not to mention, it's rather cumbersome to have to enter all digits of your credit card, especially in the dark, just for a granola bar. Non-tech-savvy folks won't even attempt trying to figure it out, and trying to explain it to them while driving could be distracting/dangerous. Perhaps adding a cash slot onto the box (like a vending machine) would be too costly, but there needs to be a more intuitive payment method. If they want to make customers jump through hurdles for free samples, by all means, but if they're serious about making money, they need to make monetary transactions as easy as possible for customers while maintaining a sense of trust.

Thanks for posting this Uber Man, a Member Driver sent it my way. This is a great attempt to turn a ride into a mobile vending machine & maybe make some money. Drivers are probably better off focusing on their day-to-day, week-to-week strategy for income and how to best serve their passengers than hoping a passenger buys something by typing a URL, entering a code, shopping, selecting and then buying. Our Member Drivers are netting $1000+ per week consistently and only offer mints & small bottled water....for free. Income is Reality; Number don't lie.

Saw this in your video back in The summer and signed up. Received my box here in Minnesota just before thanksgiving. It's a great conversation piece and also fun to see who you can get to go to the website and order. Most passengers don't in my experience but even if I can get one or two out of 10 it's money in my pocket. It's interesting the snacks you have are somewhat different than mine. I have Cheetos and Pringles not pop tarts and only 2 energy drinks. . It will be interesting to see how the selection changes over time.

Hello, I am a driver and got a message from Uber on updated referral bonuses. If I am reading it correctly it says codes can only be given and used to and by known people and not mass dispersed. Is this new? If it is It seems this will effect vloggers from receiving referral bonuses? I have been unable to find anyone talking about this so I could be wrong. Thoughts?

Kachi they get paid by the companies to place the items in the cargo box as a marketing tool for new items or promoting an item that’s been out for a while , it’s like going to Sam’s club, Costco or BJ’s and receiving a sample, 1 out of 10 will buy after trying it
