You're spot on Marcus. I won't bore you with the "evolution" of the concept for this video but we started with a bit of red fabric and pretty much decided to stop there. Keeping it simple since 2012 😉

Very cool video! Beautiful shots, wonderful Chloe. Thanks for including the mediocre setups, too - the instant comparison really helps a ton!

The build up mediocre photos are super important in my mind. Apparently you learn more from your failures then you successes, which explains a lot in my case 😂

Excellent video as always. Is it o.k. to use a density filter to keep my camera out of HSS in a studio environment. My studio is too bright during mid day when using f/5.6 or more open apertures. The Florida sun overpowers the window coverings. Thank you
@GavinHoey Жыл бұрын
Absolutely fine. Invest in a good branded ND to avoid color shift and if possible try and avoid variable ND as they're designed to video and hard to get consistency (clue in the name). I use a 5 stop Hoya ND if it helps.
@michaelkent1518 Жыл бұрын
@@GavinHoey Got it (avoid variable consistency ) go with Hoya 5 stop. Thank you very much.

Cool video! How would you modify this idea to make it masculine for a male model?
@GavinHoey Жыл бұрын
Good question. Possibly harder shadows, maybe the 2nd look with rope rather then fabric, maybe I'd change nothing at all. So many options is what make each photographer unique 😁
