This is very important for sure!! Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked “can I see your portfolio?” and I wanted to have something to show! Contrary to what you said, setting up a website which costs money and a lot of work just to have a website is useless when you don't use that website to sell your art service. There are better social media platforms just for art and they're completely free. I'm talking as a web developer as well as a hobbyist artist. The only reason I would do an art portfolio website is to show off my coding skills for potential employers and the portfolio would just be an added bonus. Not everyone needs a website, sometimes youre just allowed to create without industrializing your hobby

Enjoy having corporate running social media controlling what you post and have chumps like Mark Zuckerberg make money off of your content. Even the algorithm will determine who is going to see your work or not! By the way, Instagram, Artstation, Facebook, KZbin, etc have web sites!

They don't control what you post, the algorithm is literally made for people that look for specific content to find that content, that's the point of algorithm, it's not a bad thing and it's because of it that artists are the ones to stumble upon this video, otherwise people who have no idea or interest in art would be commenting as well; the money that the companies made gets mostly by advertising other companies who pays them to make an appearance on their website, by now only Facebook, Instagram and twitter are known to make physical profit out of user's content but even that is stated on their user and privacy agreement that you accept when you make an account, like I know social media is mostly capitalistic companies that don't care about anything but money, but you need to inform yourself if you're going to speak about social media publicly, remember you could be spreading false information that some people could believe

Yahy, a new video from Nadia. Of course, I'll watch. No matter what the topic is. Wait what, website? This was what I needed. I was looking for an affordable option since I decided to become a professional. I tried out Wix and yes its nice to use, but the free option comes without a domain and nowhere I can see how much the domain would cost me, neither can I see what kind of payment options I have. If something requires a credit card, I cant use it. This side seems like a great option. Especially if yearly payment is possible. I'll definitely check this out. Thank you, Nadia. ^^ PS. I have had websites in the past, simple ones to show people that I was available for commissions and photography jobs too! I even ran a computer help website for Macintosh computers! I have recently been thinking about selling some of the hundreds of artworks that I have collected, purchased, created for years! I have so much that I know others would appreciate for their walls. I currently have most of the artworks in cases, boxes, art storage solutions too! You are truly inspirational and so generous with your quality advice!

2 questions - 1, Word Press mentions for requirements: "We recommend servers running version 7.4 or greater of PHP and MySQL version 5.7 OR MariaDB version 10.3 or greater. We also recommend either Apache or Nginx as the most robust options for running WordPress, but neither is required." - Is this correct - as that is Technically scary! 2. (Nothing to do with Wordpress) - I'm wanting to do some art that I can get printed out as a Poster.... If I went A4 - can this be printed LARGER... or should I make my page A1 (for example) to start with?

Hey Michael, I'm not sure I can answer your first question. I would reach out to Hostinger to confirm :) I once made an A3 drawing and printed it as a A1 size and it looks fine :) I would set the DPI to 400-450 probably. So if you create an A3-canvas with 450 DPI/PPI I think you'll be fine. But it also depends on print quality and paper, so I can't make any promises ^^

I really want to update my website in August or so since I am using a 20 euro/year website builder which is, good enough to start I guess, but I really want to up my game! Big question: If I design a website on Adobe XD, is that easy to replicate on the Wordpress/Hostinger web builder, or will there be many limitations when it comes to inserting logos (SVG files), background art etc? I mean, can I only use the templates, or can I create freely? By the way - I love your channel! Just discovered it last week, subsribed, bought my brand new XP-Pen innovator, and am seriously getting into digital art. Love your positive energy, and your accent too - I'm from Sweden (Malmö, right next to Denmark!), but now I live in nice warm (too warm right now!) France.

Hmm...okay, if you want to be SURE, you should write and ask Hostinger, but here's what I think: "Hostinger" is just the hosting service. It's like a paying rent for your files online. It can also host your custom domain name. I don't know how Adobe XD works specificly, but my GUESS is that you could probably design in Adobe XD and upload the files to Hostinger's servers without needing Wordpress or other website builders. Try to google for "hostinger adobe xs tutorial" and see if anything shows up. Or ask Hostinger if they integrate with Adobe XD in any way :3 That's what I would do. Oop, forgot to add: The templates does not give you entire creative freedom. They have SOME framework. The wordpress templates, in my opinion, gives lesser freedom while the Zyro website builder gave more freedom. But I would still look into an integration between Adobe XD and Hostinger ^^

@@Nadiaxel Thanks for the answer. Yes, I will conact Hostinger and ask them directly. Adobe XD is just a design program for websites, so it just gives the look, but no code. Wordpress, as I understand it, is a shortcut encoding software that allows to construct a website without writing html/css/JavaScript code. But I really want to be able to make the website look original, and I am actually starting to learn the coding. Its really not as complicated when you get into it - it seems to me that it will be much easier to learn than French was!😅
