This reminds me of my kindergarten bully. He would tell me and my friend who's real name was Alex, it still is, to get inside the big bins outside the back of the school during recess. @@theletsplayprincess3894 even room temp water would have prevented the object falling straight to the bottom and missing Alex. And it probably wouldn't have been allowed for health and safety purposes, but if you knew the volume of the bins, you could try pouring that amount of water into the bin. You could then use the left over water to work out the volume of any objects that are in the bin. Or, if you had access to two phones, use one to live stream and watch it on the other.
