I love EZD6 and my actual full name's initials is RR 😝 Serious note, I have a family member who has a XXYY Syndrome, which would limit him intellectually from learning crunchy games like D&D. I really look forward to him trying EZD6. I think it would be within his grasp. Thank you Scotty!

I am a noob with the EZD6 - I really dig your approach - I think it is just what I am looking for. I have 2 boys ages 8 and 13 who are getting into TTRPGs. I have tested out a bunch of systems and some really drag and don't seem to maintain their attention (we all suffer from ADHD - dead time when looking up charts and spreadsheets really make it tough for us). I am excited to enroll in your RR university and get a proper indoctrination. I am very excited about having a rollicking time of quick pace fun and adventure. You do a great service for providing this system sharing your enthusiasm.

I think the hardest part about EZD6 for GMs coming from D&D is the negotiation bit. In D&D, one can use polymorph to turn their fellow party member into a giant ape that has 5 times the HP the player did along with some really hefty attack damage and there's nothing the GM can do about it "because rules said so". And if you override the rules then the player gets upset, and rightfully so to an extent. They picked that spell over others, and now they're not able to use it fully. The idea that in EZD6 you can say "I want 20 elephants" and the RR can say "That's too much, how about a rabid baboon instead" is a totally foreign concept for a lot of people. Or at least, I think amongst younger people in the hobby that have been stuck on 5e. But boy howdy is it so much better. Also - how many RR university videos do I have to watch to get my diploma?

Thank you DM Scotty! I just started an EZD6 game this weekend and we had a question about karma points - do these stack between games or do you start with a clean slate + 3 karma at the start of each game? I didn’t think hoarding karma points between games would be very balanced so I ruled that we would start with 3 karma points at the start of every game; was this incorrect?
@theDMsCraft Жыл бұрын
Glad you are enjoying the game. Karma resets each session. You are correct.

Hello 👋 I was wondering how you use torches. I noticed a note saying the delver has 5 torches in their kit, so I’m assuming it’s important. When I was a player for a few years the DM never really made torches important bc we all had light cantrips or dark vision. I have now become a DM. I have noticed in my research a lot of DMs and RPGs (i.e. Five Torches Deep and Shadowdark) suggest it being a core mechanic. Do you have rules for torches in ezd6 or suggestions? What is your personal take on it in your games? Thank you for your time. I’m really enjoying all the ezd6 books!
@theDMsCraft6 ай бұрын
Good question. Since my species cannot see in the dark (they just see further in dim light), everyone needs light sources. I don't worry too much about it mechanically, except that a torch lasts about an hour. It could come up story-wise, though, such as a large gust of wind or lots of water putting a torch out.
