Love the EZ D6 system. It was like finding the holy grail. What I particularly love about it is how easy it is to home brew any fantasy tropes. Like for spell casters I am home brewing a shaman that utilises the spirits of the ancestors and the elements. Thank you sir for your contribution.

Wow! A necromancer sounds like very good fun! Plenty of room for hilarious “accidents” to happen! 😂 From the over talkative skull they ask a question from that wont shut up in his head to raising some skellies to help with a battle and getting knocked out and they attack instead! 😂

@@theDMsCraft oh definitely, I’m not going to rain on her parade, I think this video inspired a few ideas on how to work with necromancy. We had a lot of fun with one skeleton she raised that somehow managed to make it to the end of an adventure unharmed. Old Jimmy the football hooligan is now a valued member of the party.

thanks for the great tips. what about spells that last longer than one round? like paralysis or entangle? how do you handle those spells? At times I have handled such spells as follows, first the magic resistance had to be overcome as with any other spell. If the spell is successful, the effect lasts for 1d3, and the person affected has the chance to free himself every round with a difficulty level of 5. We have found that when casting the spell, it is more effective not to damage a wound, but to affect the scene or terrain. How do you handle such spells? thx martin

Long shot on an answer to questions i have. 1. If the necromancer raises 6 skeletons in combat, can they each individually attack during the necromancer turn? 2. If they did have a raised dead outside of combat would it be ok to assume they'd basically follow until he performed some significant action? Or simply lose control when hes openjng a door or eating? 3. I know magic attacks can strike up to 6 enemies ( or six worth of strikes i assume) but can it also dmg a single creature for 6 dmg ?

They could all attack but keep a few things in mind. If a necro casts another spell they either lose control of the skellies or they crumble, RR choice. If a necro takes a strike they also lose control...See spell anchoring.

#2-As long as the Necro is anchored they can do anything else besides cast another spell or take a strike.

Each target can only be hit for 1 damage. The trade-off for being able to target 6 enemies.

​@theDMsCraft thank you for the quick response. What if those 6 skeletons attack the one big baddie? I assume still count it as 1 strike, treating a necromancer's raise dead similar to the spells of other circles. As an aside I just want to say I've been a big fan since getting into crafting! I've had a boardgame group who's been very luke warm on ttrpgs for a while now but we recently gave your game a chance and we all had a blast!

@@RebelChum So glad you had fun. I would have each skeleton attack like normal so it would be 6 attacks. They were animated by the spell but are now under control of the necro.

Do you get karma for failing to cast a spell? And, I presume the friar automatically has the devout inclination?

You do get karma for failed spells. The Friar does not have Devout. Their ability could just be an innate ability without the friar knowing how it works. So they have to take devout like anyone else.

Ok so when the anchor is broken they dont drop like a sack of potatoes, they stay animated but not under your control

I would play it that way. Adds an interesting element to managing those you create. Of course, the beauty of this game is you can play it how you like. So if you want them destroyed, then they are. Just be consistent as a RR.
