No, Ryo was in Buriki One as Mr Karate II, but he didn't have the mask and he was just one of the playable character Silber, who is also in KoF XI alongside Gai, was the actual final boss of Buriki One Another thing is that Daraku Tenshi came first. The designer for Daraku Tenshi migrated to SNK and shortly after that, they made K' and redesigned Maxima. Maxima himself was based on Maxima the main character of Robo Army a old beat'em up. Rocky was the other playable character in that game

But in the Art of Fighting timeline, Yuri and Robert are dating by AoF3, and at the end of AoF3 she runs off with him to Italy for his big showdown with his father. Ryo doesn't go with them, but buys Yuri's plane ticket and basically tells her it's time to make her relationship with Robert official. However, in that timeline Yuri seems to have possibly abandoned her martial arts training after AoF2, because she gets instantly wrecked by Sinclair, can't toss a single kohken without throwing out her shoulder, and can't even fight off Wang's pelican without being rescued by Ryo. Whereas KoF Yuri is all about training, and is basically Sakura before Sakura existed.
