How did the Summer fly by soooo fast??? Well here we are again. Hope this 2023-2024 School year will be a breeze for parents and kids alike.
In this video I’ll be sharing with you how I prep my home and self for a smooth transition back into the school year. I’ll be sharing some make ahead breakfast options, School snack ideas, and meal plans for back to school.

🥞🧇 Yogurt Pancakes/Waffles Recipe:
Wet ingredients:
2 Cups Of Plain Yogurt
4 Eggs
1 tbsp of Vanilla Extract
4 tbsp Oil
Mix all of the wet ingredients together
Dry Ingredients:
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/4 of Sugar
2.5 tsp Baking Powder
.5 tsp Baking Soda
.5 tsp Salt
Mix all of the dry ingredients thoroughly before adding it to the wet ingredients.
Once batter is fully mixed, fry and enjoy.

You didnt have to ask your kids to help. You and Shai are raising them very well. They are polite, bright, helpful sweet children, who will ALWAYS give back to society. It does NOT come naturally. Luv the lovely storage boxes for the zip baggies!! Will check them out as our storage drawer is just jammed with the cardboard boxes. Interesting to hear that the schools are nut and seed free, that would be such a challenge for me as I luv snacking on peanuts and almonds. Also wanted to say that my family just LUVS your teriyake salmon and the baby potatoes with the onion soup mix recipes!! SO yummy and luv that dinner is on the table in about an hour!! In South Africa our school year starts in January till December. Summer lasts here till March.With holiday every 2 month. I use coconut oil odorless and olive oil. Much healthier. Airfryer heats up pancake great from frozen.

I don't have kids but can use many of these tips for home and meal prep. We didn't eat much cereal growing up either. It was seen more as a weekend treat for my mom to have a break from cooking. Like you we always had premade pancakes, waffles, french toast. Then she would fry up bacon, sausage, eggs, cream of wheat, grits, oatmeal, toast and fresh fruit for us before she went to bed. Cost effective meal prep and greatly cherished mornings❤

The saw something I know you will love. It was in a Shavuot issue of Mishpacha magazine. They showed how you could decorate sourdough breads for Shavuot with flowers by painting on them with gel food coloring and a thin paint brush. So beautiful. You can probably look it up online.

Thank you for this video you help me keep my back to school list on point today I took my 7 year old shopping for back to school at walmart she was super excited waiting for this day for like ever 😂. I think we are set with uniforms, school supplies, lunch supplies all am missing is doing my snack shopping. Like how organized you are I would like to ask if you can please make a video of some good school lunches you prepare for the kids my dear child is not very crazy about veggies so thats always an issue but shes very true to her home made food whatever I make soups chicken fish shell eat it she attends public school so I have to struggle with lunches sometimes especially having to heat it up early in the morning or prepare it etc sometimes I purchase chicken nuggets and fries fry them and send that as lunch but obviously she cant eat that everyday. Would you also please make a video recommending the snacks you usually stick with throught the school year and new ones you try here and there I shop at BJS so dont know if its the same as costco? Last but not least , is it me or I see a very cute Baby Bump (hope I don't spoil it for you)?😊 (sorry if I am being a little nosy I just happen to notice it)

I love this video, Sonya! I did a lot of breakfast prep when my boys were school age, and it totally saved me in the mornings (I’m also an RN.) For pancakes, I used a jelly roll pan and baked them for about 18-20 mins until golden. Then I could easily be doing something else while they baked and I’d just cut them into squares and freeze them the same way you did. It is so easy! Blessings to you all this school year!

While my kids are amazing, they are just like all the other regular kids, bad behavior and all. Remember these are highly edited videos and I would never post anything about my children that would show them in a bad light. I think its important that you said regarding the reusable plastic bags. That reusable is not working for everyone. I cant do reusable ziplock bags. If people can make it work, great. Doesn't mean it works for everyone. I say this as someone where in Canada, the shopping plastic bags are banned in most stores. To this day, people forget to bring their shopping bags. I dont like having them. So if I can toss those cheap ziplock bags, then I wont be so stuffed with reusable bags. Not everyone has the space for these nor the time to keep cleaning them.

Costco is currently selling a two pack of the larger bentgo style lunch boxes for $20. You could buy them and put them away for your younger kids. It is an excellent price. We have the smaller ones and we put the larger ones away for the kids when they get older. We love those bento boxes. My daughter has the ones with designs on them but my son has that green one.

That is just how Costco prepares them because they sell everything packaged. Most supermarketa sell them loose. I'm in Montreal Canada and that is how we buy them from the store, individually.

Our schools don’t allow snacks like crisps , cookies or candy? You can bring home made things as long as the ingredients are allergy friendly. School lunches can be such a pain I used to wish they had a canteen for the children. But my children have finished school now and university . The last one is starting university next week. No more school lunches. 🤣🤣
