I subscribed to other channel, but I found yours more friendly. I watched your lovely Shabbat prep etc.. but. I would like to know one who don't have all the fancy items, i mean modern items, how can I follow Shabbat in a simple life style. God bless you. May you and your lovely family stay safe and healthy.

What if the nearest shul is so far away? That I would need to use public transport? Do I just celebrate Shabbat at home?
@SonyasPrepКүн бұрын
Yes exactly. You celebrate the beautiful holy day at home.

Sonya, You told us your birth story but never updated us on your health. Are you back to your pre-pregnancy state? No anemia? You went back to work just a few months after the traumatic birth and I was concerned.

I never thought before about trying on a long wig and then having it cut to your specifications. Tricky because, as you said, you can't grow it back if too much is cut off! I really enjoyed this look behind the scenes and ALL the various hair coverings.

Sonya, it IS your hair - you bought it!

I don't know how you cut up sweet potatoes so easily - I always find them very difficult to cut up when they're raw.

Lovely! Very practical to have to cover your hair so your wig can be set while you are doing make-up! Love it!

When I was having my kids,1980 to 1990, our doctors encouraged nursing moms to drink some wine or beer to encourage milk production. I nursed all of my kids until they were two, so I guess it worked.

I started making sourdough back in the 90’s from Nancy Silverton’s book “bread from the LaBrea Bakery”. You made the starter from grapes. I love your sourdough. You’re a real artist.

Covering your hair with a scarf or other headdress is a prescription! Covering your hair with a wig is cheating God! Some half-bald women are happy to hide their imperfections with a wig; there are expensive wigs that are more beautiful than their natural hair. It's disgusting to cheat with the Lord! Im real jew and our women cover hair with scarfs, this wig bs is not jewish thing, it comes from sect! God forbid cheating God!

I pray this is taken in a right way. It seems to me, that for there to be Peace & fair treatment for all, that America & Jordan should act as administrators of Palistine & Israel until they can truly become righteous nations & all Jews, Christians & Muslims are treated fairly. I know this solution will cause strong feelings initially but when the fairness comes I think people will learn that they can be tolerant. Then they can be trusted to guide their own countries. LIving in America, side by side with Bhuddists, Hindus, Muslims, Catholics, Jews, etc., it is very hard to see why others cannot live in peace. Yet in my own neighborhood there are Christian sects who hold grudges against Catholics but the Law & a reasonable letter to heads of churches asking them to stop the gossip, helps. People become beguiled by negativity, that huge serpent monster in Eden, hypnotizing with magnetic eyes, then encircling & smothering its victims in pride & hate, devouring them. Situations become a complex mess as people have good & bad tendencies. Look to Angels, to Messiah, The Promise, Lord of the Universe instead. Thanks for your prayers & the inspiration for us homemakers to bring Peace into the home.

Sonya, I am in awe of you! Kol Hakavod!! Learned a few things already ( first watched Thursday night, as was looking for gouzh gouzhe's dough recipe i lost. You bread is fantastic. Has been my hobby for the 8 plus years, my children and all (even babies) their children love it. I use shower caps ( plastic, from Amazing Savings, 12 for 1.99) to cover my bannetons in the fridge. I bake 6-7 loaves, as want to take of challah. Ialso love artistic scoring, use wire monkey with altered blade. Dont know how to share pics in comments, sorry. Hatzlacha!!!

I’m a Christian and I recently started observing Shabbat. I’ve found it to be one of the most beautiful and deeply sacred things to do. Watching your videos brings me so much inspiration and joy, you are an excellent cook and a wonderful mother as well as a proverbs 31 woman. May Adonai bless you and your precious mishpacha b’Shem Yeshua. Love and blessings from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤

Most working women never like cooking cleaning house making children happy and healthy in clean house they think fully like a man i suffered a lot in childhood with such working mother who has zero respect for housewifes and still not very fond of her now thinks working moms are supermoms in reality the opposite
