When I first got into makeup in 2016 I bought wet n wild their highlighters were amazing and old color icon eyeshadow palettes that came in the black packaging the mega cushion foundation and after that I got into more brands later on

Their ColorIcon eyeshadows are still some of my favorites! I have the 5 pans and the 10 pans. They have always been ahead of the game in that department for sure!

@@slashedbeauty oh man that is such a good question… as a young teen I used to use the covergirl aquasmooth compact foundation. I went through so many of them! It would also be cool to see a mascara throwback showdown. Like maybe some maybelline, Loreal and covergirl OGs. Physicians formula also has a talc free compact powder that was pretty good back in the day.

What a fun and unique idea for a video...new sub! Yes, I totally agree that older make-up products are often better than the "bright, shiny object" of the moment. Also, some of those "older" products fit just fine with current trends. When Pantone announced that more peachy looks were the up-and-coming trend for 2024, I thought, "Great...I've already got my Milani Luminoso blush, eyeshadow palette, etc., so I'm all set. LOL!" Those LA girl correctors are my #1 (I have a lot). The essence highlighter. Maybelline Lash Sensational. Catrice concealer. No7 Pressed powder, Maybelline FitMe loose, Milani matte bronzer, Flower beauty matte powder, Milani baked blushes.

I got the Essence Highlighter as a GWP years ago and never used it. I discovered it a few months ago and now swipe my finger in it a couple times, mix it with my moisturizer and/or foundation and I have my very own custom made glowtion! And, I can control how much glow I want. For FREE!

I still love l"Oreal Lumi Glotion. It is so versatile and can be used so many ways. By itself or mixed in with foundation or CC cream, or used as a highlighter. I also have the dark color and use it as a bronzer. Wonderful stuff. Revlon lippies are amazing and I also like the l'Oreal lippies, the smell does it fo me.

I still use and use my original Mellow Wine blush and the Essence highlighter. And literally applying the Essence mascara today while I watch this! I love the look it gives but it can sometimes smudge on me.

old drugstore products still work like a gem for me 1. jordana single pan bronzer(its similar to hourglas's 80 USD baked bronzers 2. flormar loose powder(very silky and smooth) 3. LA girl yellow foundation mixer ( i alwas have backup of this) 4. wet n wild lipstick give me mocha 5. milani concel and perfect concealer(it can beat any highend concealer) 6. golden rose baked blush 7. revolution sophx pallate(i dont need any else pallate if i have this, i do my eyebrows with the black shadow from this)

It's funny that you used 3 of my everyday makeup products. The Butter Bronzer, Wet n Wild blush (all of the colors are fabulous), and the Essence Pure Nude Highlighter. I put the highlighter on before my blush and it gives my cheeks the softest glow. My favorite products that have been out forever are the Revlon Colorstay, the products I stated above, the NYX wooden lipliners, and Colourpop eyeshadows. All are amazing, and I ALWAYS go back to them.

I'm late watching the video and I've told you before but the telescopic lift there's so much mascara that comes out so I've been wiping it off and still can't get the wand right. I definitely have that essence exactly what you said. It doesn't cling to any dry patches. I have many of the Revlon lip glosses and I love them along with the Maybelline lifters.I also have recently went through an old make up drawer and found the exact same blush from WnW,, but it's in a different color that I can't read lmao 😂 cause it's been so long since I used it but I tried it the other day and I loved it. Thanks Miranda for always keeping us updated on all kinds of things 🌸🤍🌸. I'm 54 and when I was in high school and even after I wore the pink and green Maybelline mascara. I'm almost attempting buying it cause it did a lot for my lashes without primer or an eyelash curler. I did buy the color pop mascara in brown and I love that one too but someone said brown mascara looks great on green eyes so I wanted to try it and they do look more green but only on certain eye looks

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer. Just picked another one up yesterday. Better than ever nowadays, as I age. Best for undereye dark hollows. Lash Princess is the best. And NYX Suede Matte lipsticks are the best; NYX just does something right with their lip products.

I actually find it more helpful 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess it's my OCD that enjoys little spongetips like that 😂 The only other concealer that seemed to work for me was the original Photofocus from WetnWild. Sadly they discontinued those and now the Incognito version doesn't have my shade. (Very very hard to find a decent shade and formula) Doesn't Maybelline have a regular concealer as well? Fit Me? I don't think I liked that one personally.

Oh the LA Girl concealer is way better than the Colourpop and the Elf Camo concealer. Those two are so drying, and the LA Girl is just perfect….except for the applicator. If they would change that to a doe foot, it would be my favorite concealer

A doe foot would definitely be more preferred than this type of packaging because it always gets cakey in the brush. I'm contemplating cutting off the bristles!

I don't bother with drugstore eyeshadow anymore. Indie pallets have my heart. But the Revlon lustrous lipstick, that's been a staple, even though they retired my favorite color, Bali Brown.

Glamlite has amazing shimmers, though the palettes run dark. I love Nomad cosmetics, and feel that while they are totally worth full price, I tend to wait for sales. Though I do this for most brands. I am a sale fiend. Odin's eye is another brand with amazing shadows, but I only have a palette from a giveaway.
