Thanks so much for this side by side comparison. Very different sounds from the two. Really love them both

You’re very welcome! They are both fantastic pedals!

Very interesting comparison. In most parts it shows pretty extreme settings, especially on the Lossy with "Global" almost the whole time on maximum. IMHO the charm of these pedals (and their sounds) lies more in the subtle settings. But that is a thing everyone has to try out on his own, it's difficult to present in a KZbin video. 👍👍👏👏

You know, from a practical use standpoint I agree with you! Subtle can be best. For these videos I find such things are better represented in more of a “full wet” mode to get the sense of what the effect does, then dial to taste. But this way hopefully helps! Definitely something each person should try and deem appropriate on their own! How does it fit in your work flow? Etc. 😎

Gen Loss mk2 is my favorite pedal.

It’s so good! 🙌

Kept lossy. Sold gen loss. Just feels a bit played out in my opinion and was hard to actually make music with it to be honest. Lossy is very original. I guess I just don’t want things that I play to sound broken anymore. 😅. Nice comparison though nice video.

Hey thanks! Yeah they’re different animals for sure. Not sure which one is my favorite

Great demo! Was impressed with the GL during and by the end of first segment thinking here's the winner - even as you began the Lossy - then - it get's uniquely WILD = it's a different GEM as is the GL! This is hard to choose? Both eventually, have to dig into a few recent purchases first! Thank You for the format of comparison/demo - very helpful, keep it up.

Glad it’s helpful! Part of me was hoping the Lossy would replace the GL but the more I get into them, the more I do think it’s both :) Thanks for the comment!

Good pedal sound exploration video, as ALWAYS.... =) This Lossy sounds like it has a bit of ring modulation in it at times, but for the most part (and I do understand that it does have it's applications), my ears just dont find either of these pedal sounds as sonically enjoyable....

Keep in mind I put the mix on the lossy pretty wet so you’d hear it to the fullest extent. The Global knob can be dialed back to taste. But yeah, doesn’t have to be for everyone and that’s totally ok! Thanks for always watching and joining the conversation. You rock!

Thank you for repeating the same boring loop, that was very helpful in figuring out that this video is not for me.

You’re welcome ;) I wanted to make sure the attributes of the pedals came out and not the nuances of the playing. Sometimes it takes a boring loop to dial something in just right 😎

@@thepedalcollaborativeI found it really easy to correlate your knob twirling with its effect on the sound, thank you!!
@thepedalcollaborative11 ай бұрын
@Seanrck awesome! That’s what I was going for so I’m glad it worked like that for you. These pedals can be so complex with every combination of knobs and switches providing unique sounds. I wanted this to be something you could be able to replicate any of the settings you see! Cheers and thanks for the watch and the comment! 🙌
