A man I know from an Asian culture told me that when young women in his culture are ready to marry, the father or older brother screens the men who the women wish to marry. I watched a documentary of a man in his fifties going to columbia to find a significant other through these websites and on tours and he ended up falling in love with a woman a couple years younger than him.
