I really appreciated this video. I am setting up a Mars 4 Max that I just bought and found everything in this video helpful. Now I understand what all of the data means in the slicer resin and, being new to resin printing, that is a huge deal for me. THANK YOU!

This is the best comment I have had in a while. My friends keep telling me I have to start making mead. I use to be a beekeeper when I was young. Either way MeaD making and mead made. Great hobbies. 😅😂🤣

Great instructional video. I’m pretty new to resin printing. I purchased and received the Uniformation GKTwo recently and have done a few prints including the calibration print you featured. After watching your video I’m going to go back and print a few more now that I know what to look for exactly. Thank you. Good job and keep it up.

Dude, thank you so much for this video!!! I'm a newb to 3d printing, I set my mars 4 up did the test print everything was good. Then I started doing other prints and was using chitubox to slice, and all my prints were squares sticking the FEP! After tons of vids that kept getting me fail after fail, once I used your settings, boom a 100% successful print! You are awesome thanks for your video!!!!

Just ordered the elegoo 8k water washable resin a couple days ago, I’ll be dialing in those settings soon. Side note, I have the anycubic mono 4K so I’m probably not going to get that 8k res bump, but since the difference is literally only 16 microns, I don’t think I’ll even notice. That’s the funny thing about all the new printers with 8-12k, the human eye can’t tell the difference between 35um and 19um so I’m not ready to replace my machine just yet lol

That’s awesome I like the ELEGOO water washable resin. Yeah when it comes to quality I noticed a huge jump from 2k to 8k but the funny thing is from 4k to 6k or 8k it’s so hard to tell without side by side comparisons under a magnifying glass. 😅

@@ItsMeaDMaDe just recently found your videos, really useful info I wish I had when I started 3D printing 2 years ago, but there’s so many settings that I’m still picking up useful tips and tricks! Thanks

Thanks for this video and hope it helps but any reason you didn't you the Voxeldance Tango slicer that comes with the printer? I'm a newbie, should I look for the Chitubox that you use? is this a free download?

What about the speed settings and lift distances? There is a lot to unpack with them. How can one balance speed as well as exposure to get the best print in the shortest time?

This is going to be the first of a few vids. This definitely is a lot to unpack and dive deep into.

@itsmeadmade Hello and thanks for the video. Actually i don't get it. You are using a 6k printer with 8k resin right? When i bought my Mars 3 i had to get the experience that the bottom exposure time is much lower than before at Mars 2 Pro. The List of Elegoo says for Water washable Resin grey with Mars 3 35sec Bottom Exp. This is nuts, i'm using 25s and it's very hard to remove prints, exploding supports and my print plate looks like a CD used for surfing on the floor. How could it be possible to use 35s for a 6k Printer and get the prints off the plate without any damage or scratches on the plate?? Same about the layer exposure time. I'm using 2 sec, actually with thin resin you can go down to 1,8s and increase the details. Is it because of the 8k Resin? I also don't understand why they should print faster, when they use 4sec per layer in comparison to 2 or 1,8sec per layer on Mars 3.

Does this process need to be done with every resin you get or can these settings be used for the types of resin, i.e. standard, water washable, abs-like?
@Tarlev Жыл бұрын
Great instructions for a newbie to resin. However. When I use your settings, im getting 39 layers. And what I can see at yours, you get 29. Cant seem to figure out why there is such a big difference.

When I use bottom exposure set to 100 seconds it sticks. Would this be ok to do? Seems a lot higher then the recommended but it works
@Emtbtoday Жыл бұрын
I'm 3.8 Normal exposure woth the new ABS LIKE 2.0 resin I have seen someone using near 5s exposure on here for this 2.0 it's definitely a near doube exposure than the original ABS like but they say 2.5 / 3 seconds on the elegoo page I'm just good on 3.8/3.9 for larger models

Hi Chris, thanks for the video. I got the same machine and it is my first resin printer. I use 8k Water washable Photopolymer resin and run exposure time tests from 2.5 - 5sec with 0.5 increments. I can see the difference between prints and would say that sweet spot is somewhere around 4sec. But all of this prints have no extreme tiny lines on both sides. Any idea what may be an issue? Also quick question: did you install firmware update? Did it go smooth and easy? Thanks

I was going to a video on this but I don’t have the time so here is the full story from 2 guys involved in the project, if someone wants the transcript of the meeting around TSR2’s cancellation it was recorded in the cabinet office. Robert Macnamara to Harold Wilson… “this plane & it's technology will decimate the American Aviation Industry. You Cancel it and destroy the prototypes or we call in the 1945 $3.75 billion Anglo American Agreement.” a loan. That incidently saw the labour party give many developed British Technologies to the US, scrap Colossus Britain's super computer developed from Bletchley (Enigma) and cut loose British influence around the world....
