Loved your comment about having a tv. I loved those old console televisions. Used to sit or lay on the floor right in front of it while either my parents or grandparents always yelled “you’re sitting too close; going to hurt your eyes” 😂 I just love your stories. It’s like talking to a friend. Just your sense of humor is refreshing and genuine. With your toe, be prepared for it to take a L O N G time to grow. I dropped something on mine a while back and it turned black. Thought it would fall off but never did but it took FOR-EV-ER to finally grow out. Keep sharing the tips from “long ago”. I am 47 and when my kids were little and I stayed with my granny for a while I had to wash clothes and there diapers in a ringer washer . She had it outside you fill the washer with a water hose and then when they get done you run the clothes through this roller thing and it got all the water out of the clothes . Then I would hang them on a line to dry so much work . But great memories I definitely learned a lot from my granny . Have a blessed day much love from Texas

My daughter came home from school one day and said she met someone from the nineties. It made me feel super old. I graduated high school in the nineties 😂 I have three boys and they’ve always helped around the house and I taught them to do their own laundry at a young age. Those are life skills that everyone needs to learn regardless of gender.

I had my toe thing in the Orlando airport. It bleed so much they called an ambulance. So embarrassed. I was treated like my leg had fallen off.😳. I graduated in 72, and we had bonnets that fit over rollers. I love your family. Hug them for me.

There were hair dryers in the 70s. They were more like combs than what they look like today. The tip you were talking about probably worked their way better in the 79s but your way probably works better today.

My 4 year old son loves to cook. He has a play kitchen and is always making us something. Whenever I’m in the kitchen he always asks to help and we bake all kinds of things!

100% agree on teaching our boys to contribute to the home life as well! My 4 year old loves to help me cook dinners and helps me with laundry all the time(putting it in the washer, putting the soap in, turning it on,etc.). At this point he knows how to make himself a box of Mac and cheese. Not saying he does it all by himself, I am obviously standing there watching to make sure he doesn’t get hurt but he still knows the steps and what tools he needs for it. It’s the best feeling as a mom to know your son won’t grow up to expect things to just be done for him. ❤

Well as far as the hair dryers I am 55 and my mom had a hair dryer on a stand like the ones at the hair salon but she just put a kitchen chair in front. I don’t remember blow drying my hair until maybe I was 10 or so and I had a regular one.

Hi Jessi! Love your videos 🤍🤍🤍 My son is around Hank's age (2) and he also helps me unload the dishwasher 🥰 I just make sure to take out the knives first lol. The Dr. Bronner's soap that you use on your couch also has an all purpose recipe that I use for absolutely everything for non-toxic cleaning (besides windows and mirrors). I use it for wet dusting and on my countertops, fridge, dishwasher, dining table, etc. It doesn't leave streaks and Hank can also help with that because it's just soap and water essentially 🤍 xoxo

They definitely had hand held blow dryers in the 70's. I remember my older brother, who had naturally curly hair, spending quite a bit of time every day trying to straighten his hair. Those dryers were pretty hot & I'm kind of surprised he didn't make all his hair fall out😀

For your toenail, I had mine removed surgically and the drs told me to use liquid dial antibacterial soap to soak it in daily to help it heal. I hope that helps! Mine did grow back so hoping yours will too.

OMG Jessica, I just had hip surgery and I can't walk much right now, which means I can't clean up,my husband doesn't clean the way I do,he tries lol, but I look around and and my anxiety kicks in and I get up with the walker I have to use right now to walk and try to go behind him and clean anyway,then the pain kicks in 😂😂,Bless it it's driving me nuts 😭

I am the same with my boys. My husband was raised the same way. I know this bc I used to work outside the home before our 3 kids now I stay home so I make sure he doesn’t have to do any house work. He still does outside work and will cook on occasion but he works hard labor hours outside so the last thing I want him to do is come home and have to clean. I would mow but he won’t let me lol

Great video! Your home is so beautiful ~I love the new master bath decor! I look forward to your videos each week! I bought the cordless eureka vacuum and love it! So, we are in VA and are fixin to go on vacation in a few days. We haven’t traveled in awhile so it’s exciting but i’m also a little anxious. Do you get anxiety before traveling? We are going to the Outer Banks in NC. My parents are meeting us there too which i’m super excited about! My mom was having some heart issues and had to get a pacemaker but she’s feeling so much better…we weren’t sure she’d be able to go but she is doing great~such a blessing! Oh gosh it does feel like that but it’s not. I clean constantly tho so that is never an overwhelming task! A little every day goes a long way. I clean up my kitchen 2-3 times a day and the rest of the house I spend a few mins each day to tidy if I’m in there and then I rotate deep cleaning as I can get to it.
