I have the same hair type as you. I used to always wear my hair in a ponytail because it's so thick, and dry. Finally figured out how to manage my hair and get natural waves, without styling. In the shower, I don't completely rinse out my conditioner, just quickly run it under the water. I then wrap it in a hair towel to absorb the excess water. I comb in back and into a low bun. Let it dry, and I have perfect wavy hair. You could use some kind of oil, like coconut too. Thought I'd pass this along. I used to always curl my hair, and this has changed how I do my hair.

Gel Polish is the correct term to use with what you had on your nails at High Definition Beauty and any other brand, other than CND Shellac.
