Dizzy is indeed Sins mother, and Ky is his father. Sin spent the first 6 months of his life living with them but was given to Sol after because Ky was being blackmailed using the info that he had a family with a Gear, so Sin would be safer with Sol who is always on the move. When he's with his parents tho he's a momma's boy, he loves her more than almost anything, but his relationship with Ky was shakier. He believed as a kid that Ky had just abandoned him, even though the truth was Ky was working tirelessly to craft a future where he could live happily and peacefully with his wife and son. They've patched things up and Sin is living regularly with them again, altho he seemingly still spends time with Sol too, that's his old man after all! Get Over Nightmares is all about Sins boundless potential. His grandmother is Justice, the Gear that almost destroyed humanity, and his mother is the daughter of Justice, Dizzy, the all powerful Gear that just wants happiness and love, and his father is Ky Kiske, the man working day and night to right the wrongs of the past and move mountains impossibly tall for the sake of his family and all the people of the world who have entrusted him with the role of leadership. That is a LOT of complexity passed down into this one kid, and that's before you get into the effects of him being raised by Sol too. He's the next generation and he represents a huge turning point in the world, and he's surely destined to master the powers passed down to him and use them to do amazing things. He's set to be the protagonist of the new Guilty Gear anime, Dual Rulers, after all. In fact I'm guessing that Get Over Nightmares will end up doubling as the OP for it. I'm super excited I love Sin he's so peak. The meaning of "Get Over Nightmares" is to move past the dark past that haunts us, not to forget it, but to keep trucking on and... *Strive*, for a brighter future. The arcade mode in Strive is a series of 8-9 fights with bits of story on the 1st, 7th, 8th and 9th rounds, and the story that's told is unique to the character you're playing. For every other arcade mode The Name of Heaven plays during the credits but with Dizzy's route they added this song, and it might end up playing in other arcade credits going forward? We'll have to see. Shelter From The Rain is SO Piano Man it's insane. A lot of people naturally interpret this song as being about Ky and Dizzy but there's another interpretation that I wasn't sure about at first but now it's the interpretation that I believe personally. So they released an additional story mode episode as DLC at the end of season 1 that focused mainly on Baiken and Delilah, and in the credits of that story you can actually hear the melody from the intro to this song briefly. In terms of the lyrics, they can be applied to Baiken and Delilahs story pretty accurately. Baiken has sought revenge against That Man nearly her whole life after her whole village was wiped out by him during the crusades. Delilah is the little sister of Bedman who was killed by, well, a lot of people, but Delilah pins the blame on That Man and wants revenge, putting her on the same path as Baiken. She happens to find her way to Baiken after being found by Anji who pretty much pushes Delilah onto her. Baiken witnessing nearly the same path she walked, be started by such a young girl gets her to reflect on herself, and by the end of the story mode she decides to throw her revenge away in favor of living a life of normalcy, living alongside Delilah, like a found family. In this interpretation of the song, the dog would be Baiken, the girl Delilah, and the rain would symbolize both of their grief and loss. In the end the rain never stopped, much like how grief never really leaves your heart, but by braving the storm together they found a break in the clouds, they found a happy life to live. This song can definently be applied to Ky and Dizzy too tho and honestly it's just pretty applicable to the series in general but that's just the interpretation I choose to go with. I love the song, I sing it in the shower, the climax gets me super choked up, Naoki's ballads are so peak. The lyrics are also pretty funny, Daisuke has a sense of humor. That's it for the moment! Venom is the next character coming, he'll probably be here in January or February is my guess, and his theme is sure to be juicy. I'll save the details for later but the baseline is that he's an ex-assassin who fights with a pool cue and billiard balls! He's pretty sick and his story is great.

Shelter From The Rain is about how Ky Kiske (The song using the metaphor of him being a stray dog) met his wife Dizzy despite them being enemies

There's some pretty good evidence that the song is actually for Baiken and Delilah instead, notably that the riff that plays between verses was used in the existing credits for "Another Story". The themes of the song also apply to Ky and Dizzy, but the themes seem to work better for Baiken and Delilah

@@4za7 It plays after Dizzy's arcade mode so I'm imagining that it's for them

@@Rialster That is fair enough, and it definitely helps that the themes of the song match with a lot of the themes in this game anyways. The big one to wait for will be to see if it's still the credits song in Venom's arcade, but listening to the lyrics (especially the post second chorus), the stray dog in the song to me at least definitely echoes more Baiken's arc than Ky's

Well, it’s the most possible one but I kind of could see it as a foreshadowing of Sin-Unika relationship dynamic in the upcoming anime somehow at some point. Now not really sure of it

So from what I have interpreted about Get over nightmares, the first part of it is meant to be about Sin, and how he should keep advancing forward for a better future as he was always has done. Butt the 2nd half of the song, which can be more interesting, sounds like it was meant to be for Ky, and that "new light that was born" is meant to be Sin, it sounds about how Ky, the person who once hoped for death of every single Gear to ever exist, now lives and has a family with some of them and wishes for peace and equality as one of the kings of Illyria. Sin being a strong man that still fights for peace is "ending the nightmares" about the crusades that have been haunting Ky for many years. (Also, in the list of things that Ky despises, the only one that remains is "his own weak heart", and that chorus has more motivational lines about how he should trust on himself, something that is also questioned and reaffirmed on "Roar of the spark" his own theme). The instrumental sounds almost the same as the one of "Holy Orders", which was Ky's original theme, it was the one that played when Ky was totally decided on "killing every single Gear" as part of the holy order, and I believe they are now repeating it because this is the point of the story where Ky is finally stopping to doubt his ideals again, they are not the same as before, but they are what he believes he should do.

Get Over Nightmares lyrically strikes me as the lessons imparted onto Sin by both Sol and Ky, as well as his understanding of his family in his father Ky and mother Dizzy. Sin Kiske was born only 5 years ago, and Ky basically abandoned Sin in pure panic. Ky had been waging war against the Gears, and now he had a child (Sin) with one (Dizzy, who is now his wife). Ky's trying to hold onto faith and believe that he can make the right changes in the world to accept Gears, instead of purely hating them. Sol Badguy, the main protagonist of Guilty Gear, was left to take care of Sin, and taught him to be carefree, and to be willing to let go of things that might otherwise leave him vexed. This heavily reinforced Sin's innocent and optimistic nature, and tendency to prefer to just "get over" the nightmares of the past as opposed to holding onto past pains. A lot of times, Sol is equated lyrically with the Sun, so it's reasonable to compare Ky as the Moon lyrically here. Basically, the song is Sin comparing all he's been taught by Sol who raised him, and Ky who is now trying to be a better father. In a way, Sin's saying "You know what? I'm not gonna hold onto the nightmares of the past, because we have the power to make a difference here and now. So, you should try to move forward, too!" to everyone around him, but mainly reflecting the lessons Sol, Ky and Dizzy taught him, right back at them (as right now, they're all in a bit of a lost space as they now have to live in a world free of the conflict their lives were defined by, and have to learn how to live in peace). Perhaps Sin's connection with Dizzy is the hardest to define right now, as Dizzy really wasn't around to interact with Sin much, and the most we see is Dizzy struggling with how to act like a mother, being quite new to the world herself.
