Hey everyone! This video is a little late but HAPPY NEW YEAR! I recorded this vlog before Christmas as I got ready for 2024 but was traveling after Christmas and didn't have internet access to get it posted. But, I appreciate your patience and hope you love the video as we do some digital planning, set goals for 2024, and declutter my closet! 🎉 P.S. I got finished the tablet version of the Digital Personal Planner which is available here: www.teachingonthedouble.com/store/Digital-Personal-Planner-Tablet-p616484785 I'll be finishing the Google Slides version of the Digital Personal Planner on the plane as I fly home tomorrow so it will be posted on 1/3/2024! I apologize again for the delay... I didn't have internet access or cell service for most of the trip so I wasn't able to get as much done as I had hoped but I'll be powering through on my 13 hour flight to get it done! 😂

My word is EMPOWERED. After leaving 2023 feeling very discouraged and defeated, it seems appropriate. My focus is going to be 1) get out of comfort zone by trying something new every month. 2) focus on physical health. 3) find a new job (out of classroom).

You would LOVE the book, The GAP and the GAIN. It is such a powerful book on being successful...mind blowing! You and Bridget would do amazing analyzing that book on your podcast! As far as fiction, you should check out Freida McFadden...start with the Housemaid. SOOO GOOD!!

FYI the hanger trick does work. I typically take a look at things either quarterly or half way through the year. I can typically find a few things to go to dispose of or donate.

Happy New Year! Your goals are great. To help with reading goals, I check out from my public library rather than buy books. That way I don’t risk spending money on books that go unread or that weren’t a good fit for me.

I set up my calendar for the year and each month has a focus word (Renew, Nourish, Be Bold, Transformation, Calm, Joy, and etc). That way, each month I can have a different goal. I love to download a bucket list for each month just to inspire me. I had a 60 things to do before my 60th list but only checked off a few things. I'm alive and moving forward, so I am ok with it. Lol Have you Googled the Ultimate Texas Bucket List? They have some cool ideas to see, do, and taste. I also love to look up morning and nightly routine lists in January to refresh my routines. Some years I am ovely ambitious and wear myself out with too many goals and ideas. Good luck this year

First of all 👏 for unplugging and experiencing the culture and your time away sans distractions! While I missed having a video Friday I was just as happy to have it today. Discipline is my word for 2024! 2023 was probably my hardest year yet in terms of fitness and my job. I have been in a Tale Spin the last six months professionally (events way out of my control and way above my pay grade) after my high of hanging with sloths on my vacation . It’s time to re-establish discipline. I’ve already signed up for my first race in 2024 and almost have planned out my 2024 race schedule! I love your book recommendations and am planning to buy the personal planner as well! I do have one book recommendation for you. It encompasses both business and athletic pursuits. One of my favorite people to follow is chef Robert Irvine (dinner and restaurant impossible), he wrote a book last year titled “Overcoming Impossible”. You can use the ideas in your business and mindset! It has done wonders for me! I know your trip was awesome, kind of jealous!!

you mentioned in the video that once the calendar is purchased it updates each year... that I do not have to re-purchase. My digital calendar does not do that. I purchased in 2021-22.

That's not exactly what I said... I said the Digital Personal Planner is undated which means it can be reused each year. However, it doesn't "update"... there are not dates so you would have to make a new copy and type/write in the dates each year you choose to use it. The Digital Teacher Planners are dated (unlike the Personal Planner) and are only for one year. They do not come with updates... each year is a separate purchase. Hopefully that helps to clarify things a bit!
