I've used in ears on stage before and like you I was SUPA nervous about wearing them for the first time but after it's all set up and you've got your mix set up/how you like it they are so much fun and actually make the whole experience of being on stage, it's basically the same as having fallback on stage but you can just hear it better quality and louder in your ears. The only thing I would say is that you'll have to watch where you're going if you're dancing about loads on stage ;)

dude, in-ears are magical! If you have your own monitor mixer on-stage, then it's fairly easy to get used to them, since you can dial in your own mix fairly easily. If you have a wireless pack and have to keep asking FOH to tweak your mix it can be a bit troublesome

Not even just sole parents, most parents don't ever get to be alone. It's just work surrounded by people and then coming home to kids who never leave for the most part. Even if kids go somewhere, there's still your partner if you have one. The days that kids aren't there is usually spent hanging out with the friends you haven't seen for a long time because of kids.
