Ahoy hoy, AP/CP pathologist here. I love your skits but that is really more of a anatomic pathologist. Sometime hematopathology is a subset of CP, (its a hybrid) but otherwise most of clinical pathology isn't as focused on stains, immunohistochemistry, or scopes. CP is more lab chemistry, blood bank, microbiology. AP is histology and slides. Probably just saying pathologist would have been safer. Didn't mean to get all neurosurgeon on you...

Pathologist here. Started in a new hospital recently. Last week an ortho bro wandered into the lab. He wasn’t lost, he was looking for biopsy result. I sat him down at my Tabitha and showed him the cancer cells. I imagined I traumatised him for life and would never see him again. He came back the next day and asked me out. Men just can’t resist Tabitha’s soft romantic lighting and an Alcian blue blouse….

As a pharmacy tech, I have also formed a deep emotional connection to my counting machine Kirby... though we don't have as great of a relationship like with Tabitha. Kirby will screech at me if I take more than 10 seconds to open a new bottle. I just yell back, "SILENCE YOU IMPATIENT LITTLE-" If only Kirby could be as nice as Tabitha.

my husband is upset because Tabitha is not the appropriate type of scope for micro work and is a dissection scope. It pails in comparison to Roxanne who has been my husband's "work wife" Scope in his lab for 15 years. ( She even does oil emersion for the super tiny stuff)
