I so agree with this. I have sat at home for 10 years managing my health. I would go out one day and be exhausted the next. So I would rest all day and it's got me nowhere other than where I was at the start. I started to do a chair exercise class. I looked at food groups and balanced what I was eating and gradually, slowly I am starting to feel better. The fatigue is not quite so severe and life is becoming fun again

I'm going through Long Covid and I finally feel a mental breakthrough having found your page! I've had a great mindset throughout, but couldnt find a proper plan/strategy to get better when doctors didn't offer anything other than medicine to again, "manage symptoms". So excited to binge your videos and see how I can implement your advice! I really appreciate you putting this information out there - we all really need to see recovery IS possible. 😊🙏🏻

Thank you for another great episode. I was lucky to get support from my NHS chronic fatigue clinic but it used to drive me crazy when the focus was on “managing the condition” instead of a focus on full recovery which is what I want to aim towards.

From my experience the NHS is not setup to help with cfs…they mean well, but you need specialist help

@pivrehal what specialist, neurolog they don't have fckn glue about it

Correct neurologist was also clueless, and the same with the endocrinologist. Find a specialist occupational therapist who has experience of helping patients make a full recovery from CFS/ME. I had to pay privately, but it was inexpensive considering you get your life back to normal over time. 😊

Nice messaging Toby / Ash. Having been on the programme for 6 months I can see the benefit from messages like these - and it was good for me to watch this again in one of my slumps to reinforce the health and mindset message. Well done for sharing it more widely. If people don't get how passionate you are about this then they need to watch it again.

Thank you for sharing your information. Even though I felt frustrated and highly agrivated in how much I needed to sleep ,deep down inside I knew my body needed the rest to heal and I didn't have the energy to do anything different at the time. For me the key was to accept and listen to my body.Now I have been making huge progress !

Your continued guidance is always gratefully received 🙏 It as you say, the more I have taken better care of myself Mentally, Physically, Spiritually and Emotionally, my symptoms are decreasing 🙏 I am more or less at the point that you made that the symptom of Fatigue is the last to go and that has given me a further boost of belief in my Healing journey to keep going and taking each day as it comes and goes but being forever Mindful and Present Mentally, Physically, Spiritually and Emotionally until all my Symptoms are gone 🙏 As you always say, “it is not an easy journey” but it is a journey I have to complete. All your guidance and those who share their journeys in your program gives me more determination and purpose each and every time 🙏 Thank You 🙏

I am not affiliated with CFS Health so can’t speak for them. However, following Toby’s frameworks is working for me personally for recovery with: 1. CFS 2. chronic pain syndrome 3. fibromyalgia Bonus: getting myself off of 10 daily medications Well wishes on your recovery journey!

I appreciate the large subs. It’s very tiring to focus on small subs and some sufferers are sensitive to sound so have to read the subs. We all have different needs and they just can’t cater to all 🙂

@JustKeepSwimming12248 ай бұрын
Sorry you feel that way but maybe this might help explain: I am on the email list and this week’s email Toby writes: “In this episode, we tackle a pressing question: "How do I get rid of my symptoms?" I share insights from my 14 years of experience helping people regain their health.” He/ the email makes no mention of the GM even being on the episode at all. So I don’t think it was intended to be an interview of her, rather him address 2-3 of the main questions that may come across her desk as GM that people often want to know. (I’m not affiliated so can’t say for sure. I’m guessing but have been following CFS health for a few years and have noticed the patterns of how the presentations evolve.) Also, in case you may not know being new to the channel, Toby is actually the expert - both having been through CFS, starting CFS Health, and coaching people for more than a decade. (She may share these experiences as well. I’m not sure, but he is definitely the forerunning spokesperson up to now.) So he tends to be pretty vocal in steering all the conversations anyway from my view, which I personally prefer. 😀 There seems to be clear points and repeat messages he wants to ensure are relayed to the audience to help people.

You may want to consider the book Breaking Free by Jan R… there is a chapter in which she talks about what happens with the mitochondria/ ATP with viruses and CFS… (I think it’s chapter 2). Well wishes on your recovery journey!

How can you say it is a neurological illness when crashes coincide with reactivation of HHV6 and Epstein Barr? I know I have autonomic nervous system dysfunction but not all components of ME/CFS are neurological.
@scharlesfollin52898 ай бұрын
Anyone knows if re-wire work on viral infection and reactivation of latent viruses as well? Hard finding info on how to deal with that. Would love some input! Re-wire/ans regulation worked amazing but then this virus hit me and its all a mess.
@JustKeepSwimming12248 ай бұрын
I don’t think his point was a juxtaposition between neurological vs. viral, rather neurological vs. psychological/ psychiatric. Since this episode is not about the implications of viruses in CFS, rather touches on MINDset (the importance of using one’s psychology in recovery), I think he was simply trying to make room to address “the mind” while making the distinction he’s NOT saying “CFS is not real; it is just in the mind,” as many other healthcare professionals believe, are trained, and tell their patients/clients. So I don’t think his point of saying “neurological“ was to dismiss the implications of viral components for those who have them, rather to affirm those who have been told “there’s nothing wrong; it’s all in your head.”
@JustKeepSwimming12248 ай бұрын
CFS Health probably has a broad audience, and in the first place, the causes for and presentations of CFS are different for individuals. Not every with CFS has or has had an implicating virus. But I think everyone with CFS DOES have some kind of nervous system issue often indicated by the fatigue. I am not affiliated with CFS Health so can’t speak for them. But based on following for a few years, my personal experience/ health, recovery journey, and my progress using CFS Health frameworks to recover, I don’t think Toby’s messaging is solely for people with viral or post-viral fatigue but CFS in general. Hope this helps clarify why he may have said “neurological“ in the context of a video about “mindset“. And I hope you find what you need to continue to get well. Well wishes for your journey!
