2 weeks ago, I lost my baby sister to a heroin overdose. She was 22. I held her 2 yr old daughter and 3 year old son as they asked me "Aunt Vik, what happened to mommy?" 1 week ago I sat in church as our 16 year old brother read her eulogy. 1 week ago I threw a handful of dirt over her coffin as it was lowered. Her and I were both huge Get Scared fans and have been at every show in Houston since I was 15 (I'll be 24 soon). Some of your music was played at the viewing since y'all were one of her favorite bands. Hold on to your brother and support him in his recovery. We will all be here when you are all ready to come back. Nick's treatment is #1 priority.

I lost my big brother 53 weeks ago today (last week was the one year) to a heroin overdose. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. It does not get easier. But life does go on. Don't let her son and daughter forget her, and know that they do know her and will for their whole lives. Also hold onto your memories with her. Me and my brother bonded more over music than anything else and it is what keeps him here with me to this day. Treasure that, and treasure life. It's more fragile than you think.

3 years, that’s been a hella long time. No idea if you all will be making a return, but if you all do that would be absolutely amazing! If not, that’s totally chill too! People’s life’s go into different directions for whatever’s better for them. But I just wanted to thank you all for making each and every one of your songs. Get scared has been my number one favorite band since I was 13, I just turned 20. First song I ever heard was “Don’t you dare forget the sun” and ever since, I’ve been hooked. What worries me the most, besides everyone's healthy is the approach Nick try with fans ( mostly under age) to get money out of them with excuse of 'hanging out'. :/ I know you're telling all of it to clear it all and I'm sure you tried to help but sometimes, the person has to realize or it kills others mental sanity. I have literally hundreds of messages and screenshots of Nick manipulating and guilt tripping fans out of money and from what I gather he acts like her best friend when they give him money and once they can't give anymore he just ignores them. I have also gotten emails from bands that has paid him to do work for them $500 or more and then he just disappears and take her money it's so sad and disappointing I really hope he doesn't continue down this path much longer because he knows where he will windup but I want to say thank you for all your love and support and I hope you're having amazing day

I don't remember 😂😂 But I'm 17 now, and being diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD is tough, especially when I'm at the end of being a child and going into adulthood and to college... I can defiantly relate with the whole break up stuff I was in a 5 years relationship and even asked her to marry me with a ring and everything and she said yes but we had never gotten it finalized in a court so I guess I'm glad about that but anyways, your guys music has gotten me through some hard shit in life and I just need you all to know you're not alone if you ever need to talk to someome with the same understanding as you, I'm here and addiction is a very tough thing to overcome, I'm 3 years sober off of pills and I can say that I have felt amazing since the release of them!!
