We had to kill half the camp, and I spent the rest of the playthrough abusing the freecast glitch to stay invisible.

People who worry on missing whatever content in the Wilderness (Act I): You can do pretty much everything you want in the Wilderness region after you attacked Raphael at the bridge and then upon entering the Mountain Pass you'll be teleported to camp where he awaits you (as shown on the video). Hence, no need to follow the exact order as shown on the video but still very useful glitch and NOT yet patched as of Hotfix 16 on Steam. Edit: My Raphael was 865 HP and had a pretty low AC chance on him but I was still able to knock him out by attacking him using everyone at my camp. Also, for people wondering what to do afterwards, just go to sleep and the silence spell will be gone by morning with Raphael still chilling at your camp.

This works still, but be careful! If you killed the goblin camp and the tieflings are packing up to go, if you go to the mountain pass instead of resting at camp the tieflings wont be at your camp and there will be no party, you'll miss some chances at romancing certain characters, but hey, you'll get a cool armor XD

Yeah, cool, you also loot 1400 XP by Raphael's death But you should be aware - leaving the first location, crash site will end several quests and encounters like: Deep gnome on the mill Flaming fists in Vokin rest Githyanki near the mountain pass And of course the main quest with tieflings, druids and goblins So be sure to do it before leaving the location and avoid places where Raphael can spawn Also after hitting Raphael you shouldn't go on a long rest or it'll trigger cutscene

@bmastin1005 yes. I did it during my Necro-Durge Redeemed Honour Mode run. Be warned though, in Honour mode, Raphael has 865 hp. Fortunately, Shadowheart can cast Silence infinitely without using spell slots at camp just be careful not to initiate dialogue with the Devil until you snatch the armor.

To evade the problem of the Tiefling die in the grove make sure to NOT aproach any places where Raphael may appear untill you are ready like: on the destroyed bridge north to the ruined village, on the mountain near the grove where you can collect the spider eggs and in the Selune temple in the Underdark (idk if there are any other places). Once I tried to evade Raphael just for fun and did every quest in Act 1 before meeting him. If you do this you will get the armor basically "in Act 2" but it's still great

Just a heads up, I a current patch we tested this inhonor mode. We don't know if it was because we had an oath breaker in the camp or the animal companions but half the camp will turn hostile from your actions attacking Raphael.

I havent done this, but i assume you can put it off as long as you want provided you dont step into any of raphaels spawn points. He will always show up at camp if you try to go to the creche/shadow cursed lands and havent triggered his cutscene; it forces you to long rest so you have to talk to him. You can do astarions and all the other quests without him by just going to the spots needed in act 3 with the appropriate character. He just may not pop up and talk crap in act 2 is all. So, for example, if you completed everything in act 1 after encountering him, you can venture to another area to continue the next act. Once you do that, it'll send you to your camp immediately and he should be there.

@@Petemossfunguy I'd say there's a difference. 1: Console players can't really use cheat engines, so their only option for getting things early is exploits if they exist. 2: Exploits use game mechanics in a very clever way to get what they want, and usually take a bit of skill or at least some understanding and knowledge to actually pull off. Cheat engine requires download cheat engine, and nothing else really.

Yes you can. I just did it last night. But I lost Halsin because he was found dead in his cell. It's a choice: Loose Halsin and get the armor or free Halsin and not getting the armor. I chose the latter. It's a really nice thing having Lae'zel as a tank in front.

@@AlanStrandbygaard It's actually not a choice, you can have both, but you have to do Halsin's quest *before* leaving towards the Gith Creche

You can just go to the mountain pass by the goblin camp to avoid the githyanki.

It’s upsetting me that every time we find a super cool way to do something Larian patches it. You can’t pick up the selune chest anymore. Now you can’t cheese Cazzador with sunlight anymore he’ll just keep healing. Like why do they keep ruining the thing that makes their game so neat and unique?

It's patched but I did it yesterday just cast it in the middle of the room you can't cast it on the Casket anymore he never healed and we destroyed the wolves and other enemies

They patch it because companies hate people having fun in singleplayer games. Yes I know BG3 can be multiplayer but I feel like more people play it solo.

Idk, it's something that devs industry wide are doing and it's incredibly frustrating man, I guess there has just been a mentality shift cause a good example of it is how cheat codes are just a relic of the past. Idk if they see these exploits as messing with their "artistic vision", but damn most people using exploits are doing it on their 2nd or beyond playthroughs, and many have good reasons to use exploits, like not having alot of time in the day to play games due to kids, work and responsibilities. I'm waiting for this conversation to start becoming a bigger topic in the industry, cause I want the focus to be firmly on fun in games again.

I think you may be able to knock him out if you select other character when talking with raphael. I didn’t try it but worked for me when talking with Oran in Act 3

Do this after completing everything in the grove. When you prepare to down him at camp make sure that you are in convo with Withers, Scratch, and the Owlbear so they do not attack you. DO NOT break ANY paladin oath, entering convo DOES not stop the oathbreaker knight from whooping you.

I met Nettie, did not take the worm and Raphael showed up at the Harper's stash. On Honor so can't fix it.

Be aware that this way to get the armor skips all main quests with the grove and the goblin camp. Halsin will be dead, grove locked. You better finish all quests in Act1 you dont want to skip before heading to the mountain pass.

Can also use this to get infinite gold from his ko'd pockects(albiet a very Looong process) each time you down him after his health goes to 1 he spawns about 200 gold in his pockets that u can take

Things like this should never be patched in these type of games. The game is not competitive and it doesn't make the game unplayable. Many people really like finding and using exploits like this, it's fun for them, and the people who don't like them will just never use them. Let people have their fun! Some of the best parts of many games are the fun glitches and exploits you can do! In GTA there's the bike trick, in Skyrim there's the out of bounds chests and the the horse zip and dozens of other things that would actually make the games less fun if they were patched! Even games like Elden Ring should leave some things in. I mean if it effects the PvP definitely fix it, but if not, like the wrong warp glitch, they should have left in!

Be warned! If you do this straight away, you will lose out on companions. I did it last night and missed out on both Karlach and the yellow toad. Hell of an armor piece though

Something else, if you KILL raphael he will keep respawnung with 1hp and it refreshes his gold, so can be a early game.infinite money as well as early helldusk. Just make sure to complete the grove and kill the githyanki patroll or else you cant after the mountain pass

Not sure if you can do this on honor mode. Once silence goes away (after dropping him down to 700ish health), his dialogue starts immediately.

You're locked out of doing this if you EVER have an oath breaker, the knight never goes away and the whole camp becomes hostile
