Just last night I was really considering to get a nanokontrol for myself and here we are with a new video from one of my fav channels and producer on the same topic. What are the odds

This is huge! Thanks for sharing this approach. Really inspiring and also gives idea how to copy favourite workflow ideas from different pieces of hardware into a bespoke performance setup

Love my nanoKontrol2, so useful and easy to make delicate adjustments with it.

Might as well call that octave control on the CS synths the Floating Points slider lol

I like to use the nano, it's a perfect complement to the push!

I have two midi controllers I love using: a Novation Remote SL MK2 that I have mapped with presets for all my VSTs. I use a somehow similar layout through out all VSTs so the mappings are as consistent as possible (so for example, my amp and filter envelopes are mapped to the 8 faders, whereas oscilator and mixer controls are mapped to the top 8 knobs and filter and lfo controls are mapped to the lower 8 pots. Not all synths are the same, as some have more than oscilator, or only one envelope, but this way I can almost alwyas know what each control does and I can use it as an actual hardware controller. The Novation Remote SL has a nice screen that serves as a cheat code whenever I can't remember what a knob or fader does. My other controller is this exact Korg NanoKontrol and I use it just like this, to map effects on a per session base, so Ill just map whatever control I feel like playing with at that moment.

Great video! ❤

Adding a Knobbler4 to this provides a user interface for the controls, featuring an 8x2 macro layout identical to the NanoKontrol's layout.

Something simple is the key.

Can you store mappings, and switch mappings while performing?

This is awesome. Exactly what I was searching for coming from an OPZ to Live. Do you put the effects on the actual drum track? Would love to see the project file to understand more. Thanks for posting this.

The effects are on a group consisting of the drums & the buchla

@@felixfleer4507 Thanks for that, Ill experiment around with this. Love your tracks and how you approach tweaking your sound
