I’ll be straight up honest here, I was looking to invest in a leverless box and saw the Razer Kitsune which didn’t catch my attention (besides the “premium” price), but the M16+ & M16 caught my attention out of the other variants. Needless to say money well spent on the M16+ and already begun playing it which felt natural considering I’ve been a pad player (also former Melee player). This leverless box felt really ergonomic to me especially since it’s my first and will be competing in UNI2 very soon. Thanks for the overview of this video and providing helpful tips =] !

Everything is great, even better feature than Kitsune, only one thing before you buy, if your hands are smaller than normal. Haute42 M-plus is all 30mm button layout which is wider than normal hitbox ones. I ended up returning it cause my hands are small and getting stretched out playing on it.

I’ll be trying out the U16 model eventually. It has the same layout but the buttons are smaller except for the bigger jump button. I would give that a go if the large button layout was giving you trouble. They don’t have a metal version yet though.

I prefer the smaller buttons, the spaced out larger buttons strains my hands and fingers

The R16 model has small buttons and then a big jump button. The panel also has rims that stick up which makes it feel similar to Sanwa buttons. So the R16 model may feel better for you.

I only wish these leverless came with larger, more spaced out buttons. I have large man hands.

I have seen the TikiTaka ones on AliExpress that have the split layout so your left and right hands are more spaced out. The buttons are still spaced close to one another though. I think if you want something more catered to your needs, getting a custom layout made is likely your best option. AllFightSticks, Eternal Rival, and 4TW I believe are all open to custom layouts, but you may need to wait in queue and they can be quite expensive unfortunately.

I've heard that the M and M+ models move in your lap because of the lack of nonslip padding at the bottom. How is it in your experience? If it slips around, I might just DIY and stick a mousepad below and cut out holes for the screws the nonslip circle things on the bottom.

I didn't have issues with it slipping around because the weight and material. It could also depend on what type of clothing you're wearing. The mousepad method could help though. I feel these type of controllers even if they slide they shouldn't be sliding in use as the force you put on it is straight down not side to side like if you're playing on a lever and yeah worst case scenario get some 3m non slip padding

It’ll work on the PS5 without an adapter but will disconnect after 8 minutes due to the PS5’s authentication check. An adapter will overcome this. Also keep in mind that PS5 support on GP2040-CE based controllers (like this one) is limited to fighting games.

@@ChronoAscension so the ps5 support with gp2040 is the with the 8 minites timer, i saw a converter called dongle 5 for haute42 and i saw its plugged alone, like the cable isnt connected to the adapter then to the ps5 but they're separate, does it work like that and if so can you give a brief explanation how? id be very thankful

@@azmohamad1323 I have a video on my channel, it's very short only 2 minutes that explains it. But in short, you just want to update your controller as it is the simplest way to set things up. Then you plug the adapter into the controller itself. The controller has a USB-C port where the cable is plugged into the controller then into the console. But it also has a USB-A port for the adapter to be plugged into. So, once you've updated the controller and plugged in the adapter to the controller, plug the controller into the PS5 and while doing so, hold the Y button for PS5 mode. There are several options for adapters, they all have the same functionality with the Haute42 controllers so choose whichever fits your best personal needs or is available: Haute42 Booter 5, Mayflash v1.1, PXN N5, Wingman FGC, or a licensed third party PS4 controller. If you go the route of a licensed third party PS4 controller, keep in mind you cannot use the original PS4/PS5 controllers, and third party licensed PS5 controllers will not work for authentication.

my controller wont show up when i put it in config mode on my pc, no pop up window?

For the web configurator mode there is no pop up. You will need to manually go to 192.168.7.1/ in your web browser. Hope this helps.
