The single file zombie queue was the most notable thing about the game, and that’s what you should roll with!

stamina bar punishes you for over acting. That's more of a bleed or drain effect if you are punished for not doing something enough

Because it doesn't function as one? Stamina is an energy resource humans recover on their own at least in every game that's ever shown stamina as "energy to sprint". Bloodlust is something that must be built up by taking action. What, do you have some different idea of what a stamina meter does? Because adding something that slowly goes down over time and more if you run and only goes up when you collect something wouldn't change the gameplay in the slightest.

I hate the edits, I hate them so. The musical interlude bits are fine, otherwise really irritating. I'm trying to watch the bloody thing but the screen keeps moving about or zooming in as if we're somehow unable to see the UI otherwise. That "tactic" reminds me of the original "Driver", where the game assumed you would be driving fast enough to catch up with spawned cars in front of you which could vanish once you overtook them. If you slowed down so the other cars never went behind you you could clog up the streets as new cars continued to spawn in front.

To be fair, if a zombie apocalypse happened they would look like walking, dead humans. They wouldn't start to rot before weeks or months later. Also, the Mythbusters proved that you need a population density much larger than Manhattan for zombie hordes to be any significant threat. As long as you keep moving you're safe. Which means this is probably the most accurate zombie appocalypse game yet.
