For anyone wondering about the job applications bit. I applied for 200+ jobs I was very well qualified for and received 3 responses total. 2 automated “no”s and 1 hand written no. The same CV that got ignored that many times then later got me multiple engineering interviews in formula 1 teams and my current role which is very good and difficult to get. So if you’re getting rejected. It probably isn’t your resume. Lots of the time, they have decided who they want before they even get to see your resume.

Honestly, I was waiting for someone to talk about this. If anything, I was hesitant to look in the comment section because I expected it to be 50/50 split between people arguing about the whole job application thing and people talking about how badly he's playing this game. Some people have created lovely diagrams charting how their job application journey has gone and it sounds a lot like yours. A lot of applications go out, A lot of ghosting, very few interviews, and a lot of unprofessionalism from employers in general.
