English is my third language after Russian and Ukrainian. If you think that you cannot speak without accent like a native, I will show you now that you are wrong! You absolutely can do it, just like I did.
🎬Check out the video to see 7 tips I follow to make myself sounds more American.
If you like it, please do not forget to like and subscribe!
My tips on sounding more American are:
1. T turns into D
2. T is completely removed
3. Glottal T
4. Silent T (same as N 2 (lol))
5. Assimilation
6. Intrusion
7. Elision

Great examples. Small corrections: In some of those words, we do pronounce the "t", but only enough so that it isn't noticable as a strong "t" sound. For instance, in "dad takes," we pronounce both the "d" and the "t," but there is no air emitted after the "d," so the "t" begins with the tongue already against the pallet of the mouth. With "button," the tongue never actually touches the pallet at all. It's more like "buh-n." We use our throat to stop our air release in order to divide the syllables, and then release the throat on the "n" sound.

You have a natural flair for languages. Pulling off a near-native american accent outside of America is no mean feat, let alone in America; especially as your first two languages have a strong intonation. Plus, your English level is advanced. So I take it you've been learning it for a long time. All the best!

This is accurate-- HOWEVER-- much of it is the difference between casual English--conversationally.--and how you might want to be heard in Business/Answering phone... (think someone chewing gum, vs someone trying to impress the boss) #2nd Tip--The dropping of the T-- is probably geographic. New Englanders mostly pronounce the T. (including NYCity.) Tip#5.. Doncha, Woncha. -- it is sort of Slang. Sort of casual. You might want to be careful not to sound too informal. Wouldcha call me is rather informal... again, NOT for answering Business phone line.
