alfred i am always amazed watching people wrapping there ropes up wrong they wrap them around their hand and elbow or just grab it in a ball and try and throe it it tangles stops and falls short of the dock sometime time is of the essence the proper way is like you were a cowboy when you throw it the whole rope will deploy this goes the same for extension cords if you want to keep your extension cord or rope from twisting and tangling use the cowboy lasso method when you throw your rope or 50 ft extension cord it will fully deploy the other way your putting a half turn on it every time you wrap it around your arm you wrap it up a simple easy trick i learned as a young carpenter from my farther he saw me wrapping it around my hand and arm got yelled at never made the same mistake again so boaters dont throw a twisted knotted up rope again sometimes you only get one chance to make that throw at dock before you end up with a costly bill

The red and white Scarab Sport looks good. It's a reverse color scheme. The hull side is usually white and the stripe below the rubrail is colored. In this case his white stripe would be red on a traditional Scarab Sport color scheme. I had the same boat for 10 years. Mine was blue stripe white hull.

Saw your 'get your own lines' and it reminded me of a story. The year was 1990. I was a Dockman at an ore dock. It was my job (one of many) to throw the last line for the ore boats after they loaded. It's late in the season, probably early January, the season ends January 15 when the locks close. I go down to the dock to throw last line for a 1000 footer and the winch man tells me to go all the way to the bow to relieve their man on the dock. I said no mate I'm here to throw last line, this one. He say's, "Get the F%$k out of here, we'll take care of our own lines". Tempers run short right before layoff. 😎
