Thank you so much Francisco for your tremendous confidence in our channel. It's really nice to have viewers like you associated with our channel. I'm surprised to know that you managed to beat the hot sugar solution with a spoon. I hope it turned out right. Because when you do it with an electric whisk it nearly doubles or triples in volume. That makes it soft and spongy. Do let me know how yours finally turned out. Looking forward to your constant feedback on our videos. Stay blessed always 🙂

Thanks for Sharing. Looking forward to trying out the recipe..look crisp n yoummy. Just one request, technically, to get the right colour n "cooked" kulkuls, approximately what is the frying time period we should be looking at, when the Kulkuls are properly cooked inside n it has reached the right colour from outside ???
@GetCookingNow Жыл бұрын
You're most welcome Priya! To get the perfect fried Kulkuls you will need to control the heat of the oil. If you make the oil too hot then as soon as you put the Kulkuls they will be fried outside and remain a little uncooked inside. So you need to fry them on medium heat so they take their time to cook properly on the inside and outside. You need to get a nice golden brown color on the Kulkuls. Once you get them out you can try one and if its still not done to perfection you can put it back in the oil and cook it a little bit more. Simple 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion, excited to try them out !

Lovely for 1kg Maid pls share the quantity of all ingredients
@GetCookingNow4 күн бұрын
Matilda, Sure! Here’s the adjusted recipe to make it proportionate for 1 kg of Maida (all-purpose flour): Ingredients for 1 kg Maida All-purpose Flour / Maida (sieved): 1 kg -Semolina / Rava / Sooji (fine):⅓ kg (333 grams) Sugar powder: 333 grams Fresh Coconut Milk (thick extract): 13 teaspoons Ghee / Clarified Butter (slightly heated): 333 grams Cardamoms / Elaichi (powdered without skin): 10 medium - Eggs: 3 - Salt: 1 teaspoon - Cooking Oil: for deep frying These adjustments should help you create a larger batch while maintaining the correct proportions and deliciousness of the original recipe. Happy cooking! Let me know if you need any more details or assistance.

Thanks for your detailed recipe. Very yummy. But I have a problem. The first 2 times of frying the kulkuls, the oil is ok but after that the oil just foams up n spills over any remedy for that? Kindly advise.
@GetCookingNow29 күн бұрын
Tina, You're welcome! The oil forms up as we have ghee in the batter. So we need to add little KulKuls at a time instead of dropping in the whole quantity at the same time. Drop some and let the bubbling stop then and few more and continue doing that till the entire lot is in the oil. That way the oil will not splatter. It will form up and settle after adding each lot, let it settle and then add a little more. Hope that helps 🙂

Can it be made without adding egg and instead of Cardamom powder can nutmeg powder be added?
@GetCookingNow Жыл бұрын
We haven't tried this recipe without egg, so we don't really know if it would work. You will need an eggless recipe for Kulkuls which unfortunately we currently do not have on our channel 😕. With regards to adding Nutmeg instead of Cardamom powder it's entirely your choice. If you like the taste you can add it but personally I prefer adding Cardamom.

Could not make kulkuls....with this recipe....rawa quantity was more,had to cut in diamond shape...as kulkuls were not forming
@GetCookingNow Жыл бұрын
Renu, this is a tried & tested recipe with great reviews from people who have already made it. Rava is only added to make it crispy & we have mentioned the right quantity required for this recipe. You need to follow each step properly. Massage the dough properly, to make it into a soft & pliable dough, if it is not massaged properly the dough will be hard & you won't be able to form the Kulkuls.
