Technically, they're stuck together not just because their power are light based (which they aren't) but because two of them the sci-fi equivalent of a live wire at the exact same time (which is pretty much impossible). 5:00 It makes perfect sense when you completely understand what the writers are going for. They are not trying to make a clever, well crafted story. They are trying to guide and lead the audience emotionally. I.E. they write stuff to manipulate your emotions. It's a writing style that is specifically designed to cater to those who can't watch a movie without a character they can "identify" with and place themselves within the story. If you are the type that watches a film as an outside observer, it makes little to no sense, and the plots are garbage. If you are the first type of person, the plot and writing don't really matter, as long as the story made you "feel" the proper emotions at the proper time. It's difficult to explain, since half the population is one way and almost completely can't understand what it's like for the other half of the population.

A person should just be able to go into a movie and understand it without watching 3 other prequels. He may not get every call back or tie in or reference or easter eggs but he should be able to watch it without feeling lost. If that is not the case, it's just bad storytelling.

1:45 Secret Invasion was such a clusterfuck of continuity errors and plot holes, that if the MCU could retcon that series like they retconned Wenwu being "The Mandarin" as oppose to Aldrich Killian that'd be great; like have the events of the series be a VR construct in the Framework (from Agents of SHIELD) as part of Gravik's scheme to see who knows the location of the vial with the Avengers's DNA/powers in it since Fury, Talos, and Gi'ah wouldn't crack under intense interrogation.

As critical as I am of Marvel Studios, the issues are more so arising from a lack of communication and terrible production management rather than individual writers themselves. I mean, James Gunn didn't even know that Thor would be joining the Guardians in Endgame, so Love And Thunder had to course-correct since James Gunn hadn't planned for Thor to be involved in GOTG 3.

​@stormichow5325 that is true. Secret Invasion was supposed to come out after the Marvels so the movie was meant to lead into the show and not the other way around. When Secret Invasion came out first, they had to make reshoots so that the movie can address the events of the show to some extent. I heard Nick Fury consulted the Kree for negotiation but they declined the offer (duh?). This part was likely added in during reshoots. All the events that tied to the Secret Invasion original plot was probably cut.
