The character of John Walker is really complicated. He is a good guy who just wants to do the right thing and be a hero. What people don't understand is that he is under great pressure as people will question him if he is unable to do his job and prove himself. That's why he is impatient. I mean the guy himself said that he got medals for doing terrible things in Afghanistan. The only thing that seperates him from Steve is his rage. He doesn't have control over his rage which is why he screams at the guy in episode 3. After taking the super soldier serum his rage got amplified and it took over him. I mean his partner and probably best friend just died. According to me he is a good man who has anger issues and is not much of a team player.

John Walker is one of the best characters MCU has put out there. He is not a one-dimensional character, there is depth to him. You can see he wants to do good but it is very hard to fill up the shoes of Steve Rogers. Steve was an exceptionally pure-hearted person and like Dr. Erskine said in Captain America The First Avenger that the serum enhances everything in humans, good becomes best, and bad becomes evil, that is why Steve became the epitome of goodness. But John Walker is not pure, he has some bad in him so after taking the serum his bad side overpowered his good side. He was fighting the battle inside him before taking the serum of being as pure as Captain America(who always do the right thing) and be himself(who wants to do good but occasionally makes mistakes) and that is why he can never be Captain America because Captain America must always do the right thing no matter what, that's the quality that makes Steve Rogers worthy of being Captain America and eventually Mjolnir. I would love to see his character fleshed out even more. Such a complex character.

Bucky was not to be blamed for his actions. And John walker claims to be a good man but his actions don't rly match at this stage of the show. He's violent, impatient, selfish and kind of operates like a bully. It's just easy to hate him. Karli I automatically disliked since she blew up 3 ppl but her motivations are what muddles the water for her. Zemo was in jail paying for his crimes and he's so damn enjoyable on this show it's hard to hate him. He knows he's wrong too which helps. Walker acts like he's always doing the right thing and he's not. I mean he was rly tryna fight Sam to take zemo. Like sir. Wth....

Ive always found Florence Kasumba's beauty disarming, but I never knew Ayo had the power to literally DIS-ARM Bucky like THAT! Also, Walker done messed up even attempting to touch any of the Dora. You can't touch a king, you definitely don't touch the Kings Guards! LOL And Walker just became the very thing he was fighting against: cold blooded super soldier killers. Cruel irony, FTW. I wonder if Ayo and the Dora Milaje know how to deactivete Bucky's arm because they didn't trust him with his mind back in Wakanda and were afraid of him. Also, my heart broke when Ayo called Bucky "James", she looked really disappointed and it makes me sad because you can tell that they respected each other. Anyway, this episode was mind blowing and I'm so happy to finally see Sam shine a litte. His inner Captain America is finally coming through and I loved the way he talked to Karli, he's so kind and compassionate, resonable, all things that would make him a good Cap.

People hated John walker in episode two.. In that episode he saved Bucky and and Sam from a outmatched fight... Saved his partner's life and used the shield to do it even though he had to fight the supersoldiers alone hand to hand. Got Bucky out of prison. Tried to team up with Sam and Bucky. And people still hated him and called him homelander... So it's a bais. They would have hated him anyway

Easily the best episode in the series. Awesome drama, good action and great acting(specially Sebastian Stan at the beginning of the episode). I felt for Lemar though, he was Walker's voice of reason, loving the John Walker's descent into madness arc. That Flagsmasher that got starched though, he was a Captain America fan and got killed by the shield, what a tragic end.

In the comics Walker was forced to give up his shield and Sam takes over and this is the same happening here but the Wakanda angle is the most curious thing because i am pretty sure if Ross is not the Power Broker and i am sure Carter is not then the Power Broker is one Dr Doom and Latveria is the place that was teased indirectly in the series and if that is the case( i am almost sure) then the Storm angle comes in the picture and Mutants and Storm will be the first one coming. And yes Walker will go the Hydra way and MCU will combine the Secret Empire story arc here and Walker will become the US Agent. And yea Walker is supposed to be written in the comics as someone who can never catch up to Steve Rogers and is just a fill up.

Exactly! From the directors demonstrating how powerless John Walker feels among many of the community he is dipping his toes into now was both plot driven but entertaining. Bucky understands that this fight is meaningless and has a mutual respect for the Dora milaje. Two different dynamics played out to different results so well.

@@fake-PSL It was to assert dominance....😂😂😂 But really though, 🤔🤔 I think it was to show the three way conflict/tug-of- war between them for Zemo. Bucky & Sam wanted to use him for their mission, Walker & Lemar wanted to arrest him(as he's a criminal) while the doramilage(excuse the spelling) wanted to arrest him for crime of killing the King of Wakanda and even though Black Panther did let him get arrested by the world government in civil war instead of taking him to wakanda back then. Ayo/Aya (the doramilage who helped bucky) was the King's guard and felt responsible for not completing her task.

I still feel bad for John on a psychological level. He and Bucky express different levels of PTSD (like how John seemed to be impatient in one scene, i think he was having a slight panic attack)

I mean he has so much pressure and there is no help right. He was a normal world until the pressure just came from no where. However the friends death just came to him out of nowhere. Then the rush man can’t blame him but he is responsible for that

I think in next episode he’s going to leave that shield there and disappear with his friends body and will emerge as a new villain in season 2 or Sam and buck will try help him idk I am too excited to watch the next episode

T’Challa didn’t kill Zemo because he let go of his anger and desire for vengeance but he still wanted him in prison, like he said “the living aren’t done with you” so it makes sense that Wakanda gets involved to make sure he goes back to prison.

@@clippower03 No one defies the wishes of the king. Especially not The Dora. They're here to secure Zemo and probably to extradite him to a Wakandan prison since a German prison failed to keep him. The Wakandans have shown that jurisdiction doesn't mean shit to them if they decide to insinuate themselves in a situation. That said--they believe in justice. Ayo is simply here because Zemo can't be allowed to walk around free. There's no doubt in my mind that they are here under T'Challa's orders. Long live the KING 👑

zemo kill the king of wakanda, but t'challa didn't kill him but he put him in prison, meanwhile, super soldier kill john walker friend, and he kill the guy who is not the one who kill his friend. this is why he is not WORTHY to be a superheroes.

This was by far the best episode of this show till now. Edit: The opening scene of Bucky crying and the ending scene of Walker going crazy were the highlights of this episode. Great acting by both the actors.
