When Francesca pressed her hand on the emperor's chest, she made that physical connection, which was mentioned earlier. Plans, in Plans, in Plans, in Plans ... They have to leave it in a cliff hanger for possible future seasons. when Jessica took the water of life, she got all the memories of the previous Reverend Mothers in that like of Reverend Mothers. Maybe that was a future development in the sisterhood. Maybe the cliff hanger will be Tula and Desmond come face to face and fade to black.

Just to explain why she has no knowledge of what happened to Dorothea, it's because in the dune universe it's not the concept of an actual afterlife, or spiritual helm. It's a concept of genetic memory. Basically, once you die, your memory and personality gets encoded somehow in the genetic code of your relatives, and you can access it through some rituals. So she can't know anything that happened after her death. And the "possession" is when one of those old personalities takes hold of you, not an actual spiritual possession.

to some degree to compare it to something else its like the ai father for superman. the ai jor-el is near copy of the original jor-el on personality, emotions, memory and such but its aware its an ai and it only have knowledge of said time it was created or final moments of the original person. basically a ghost in a form of recording.

The show has yet to establish two things about the Sisterhood: their agenda to acquire/create the Kwisatz Haderach and the their creation of the Litany of Fear. I think the KH (the thing that is looking at them from the future) will scare them so much they will need to create the Litany.

They are Bene Gesserit. They choose to get pregnant and the sex of the child. This is part of The Wierding way, it's also how they fight and imprint. That's how Stilgar knew Jessica was Bene Gesserit when she grabbed him by the neck. He knew it was the legend. That's how they marry this Son to that Daughter of the great houses. Like Lady Fenring in part 2. She chose to get pregnant by Feyd-Rautha.

There is no afterlife in the Dune universe. The women who go through the "agony" access their foremothers' memories through their own "genetic memory" (I know! Its scifi. Go with it). So the genetic memories are so strong that the one going through the pain can replicate the personality to the point that it looks like possession and is called "possession" in the Dune universe and is considered an abomination. That is why the sisters train rigorously and form a strong mind and personality to avoid the "possession". That is why Paul is called an abomination by the elder Reverand Mother in Dune Part 2. He avoided the possession and accessed both the male and female genetic memories of his bloodline. Paul's unborn sister on the other hand will fail to have her own personality and will often be possessed by many other foremothers because she is considered "preborn" and does not actually have her own personality.

My theory is that The Agony sets up separate individual links with all of the ascendents who are dead at the time you go thru the process. Since MS Racquella was alive when Doretea went thru her Agony, they don't have an Agony link. Both MS and Doretea were dead when Lila went thru the Agony so Lila has an Agony link with each of them separately.

It's not an AfterLife its the host diveing into there own genetic memory's. The more forceful a personality that an ancestor was in life, the greater the likely hood that the personality will try to come forward and have some thing to say about a situation.

The reveal that Desmond is Tula's son is one I can't wait to see play out next week. He is definitely hers, has her coldness when it comes to taking action for sure. He knows his mother was a sister and that he was abandoned; so does he already know who it is and that she slaughtered his father and most of his direct family too? Can't wait to see how they wrap this up. I hope we're not too disappointed.

The agony isn't heaven. It's genetic memory. And It's not Deku in My Hero Academia having a nice chat with the previous users of One For All. The agony, as I understand it, connects the sisters to the women in their blood line. That's hundreds of remnants of who those women were, perhaps thousands. The agony gives those ancestors access to a living body again. That's why they fight for dominance of it. All of them want control of the body, because they want to speak again, breathe again, live again, and some ancestors want revenge. The agony can be dangerous, even deadly, for the sister going through it. That's what I got, and that's why I think Lila can't just have a nice conversation with her ancestors. It's not a group chat. Only one person can control the body at a time.

I loved this episode especially because for the first time we have seen a different side of Desmond that proves there is more behind that crazy guy. I agree, that revelation explains his behaviour in the past episodes. Desmond to me is slowly becoming more complex which is something I hoped to see and I hope to see more of that in the final episode. Loved Travis Fimmel acting here. Anyway it seems to me people often compare his character with the one from "Vikings" and "Rised by wolves". Well, as someone who recently watched both of them I can assure you there are key differences between Desmond and those other characters, both in terms of characterization and acting. I can also assure you Travis Fimmel played more dramatic roles in his carreer where he shows more the human, flawed sides of his characters and those characters are much more different. If you want to see Fimmel in something different, then I suggest you some of his most recent projects: the crime series "Black snow" and the movie "Boy swallows universe".

starting to hbo strat on making dune popular and its using family drama of child bloodlines. cause everyone is getting same reaction on who kid belongs to who and how manipulated they will be used for political gain while also having their own strategies to make a name and form alliances. cause we got the princess and her half brother, the atreides sword master, harrow harkonnen, lylya and more with them gonna shape their house/faction bloodlines which in time if future seasons do timejumps it will build up to the set up of the films. it also matches the mindset from the board game on everything is a long temr and when you make you move you better hit hard to the point its gonna take 4+ rounds (there is 10 so thats already half game gone by) for them to retaliate if they gain and form alliances.

A lot in this show doesn't make sense, it messes with the established timelines a lot. How this 'bio weapon' works doesn't make much sense without technology to deploy it that is that targeted. This episode was one of the more entertaining ones to watch, though among many inconsistencies, I do question Kieran leaving the incrementing evidence out to be caught, a bit silly. How can this show be wrapped up in one hour? I find this a bit dishonest from the show makers... It doesn't look like we get a real conclusion next episode, this is so disappointing

And even the emperor is trying to do what he thinks is right and he didn't ask for this job that he seems uncomfortable with...
