Exactly. I won’t forget when I was 20 years old. I had no job, no money and was living with my mother. I tried with all my might to change my life and put a lot of effort to where I am now by looking for jobs constantly. I now work several jobs and moved out of my mother’s home. No way did I get into a relationship with some single mother. I had to work on myself and it seems to me that this guy didn’t do anything to change it. I hope that everything worked out for this woman in the end.

I agree My sister dated a POS alcoholic who suffered from trauma, had a criminal background and he stomped her when she was pregnant with his child. I am so glad my dad, my former Army brother and the police kicked him out. I lost any and all respect for men after that, it takes a lot for me to respect a man after that incident.

When I was married to the girl's dad he abuse me for 23 years, when the abuse didn't stop I divorced him. The abuse hurt me, destroyed my love for him,it ended our marriage. I was always the blame in his mind . After he abuse me he would apologize to me, say that he loved me,I knew that it wasn't love when he abused me. My oldest daughter asked me if I would go back to him,I looked at her are you crazy? Never ever would I go back to the abuse.

And depending on how fragile his ego really is, Steve just put a target on that child's head for the crime of being better at something than him. Unless you've been in these situations, you really can't understand the depths of selfish immaturity that drives people to attack others. Go watch the scene from The Incredibles where mom tells the kids that the bad guys won't show restraint, and recognize that if a cartoon can be that forward, maybe you need to wise up before jumping on a band wagon and celebrating some kid becoming the next scapegoat.

My mum suffered years of domestic abuse and even after she eventually left my brother suffered for years. He had to see a child psychologist at 5 yrs old and unfortunately my brother became an abuser. It took him actually meeting someone that he respects to make him stop. He hasn't lifted his hand for over 10 yrs now. I suffered 10 yrs of domestic abuse and it took him smacking my son that made me leave. I can choose. My son can't. The day I left I watched the clock go round for 20 minutes while he BATTERED me senseless while my 4 yr old son sat screaming and my 6 month old was a foot away in his seat. I'm proud to say that I brought my two beautiful boys up by myself and they would NEVER raise a hand to a woman. They despise the man their father is. My youngest son has nothing to do with him, my oldest does for his daughters sake. It takes time but you can eventually get away. There is many agencies that are there to help. Please leave before it's too late xx

So true, my dad was a big-time mama's boy. Even though she allowed my dad to get abused/ sexually molested by his stepdad. She never took him to a doctor, or therapist, never called the cops nothing. He grew up to be abusive and he not only neglected me and abused me from time to time, screaming at me when I cried sometimes. He also didn't treat my mom right and didn't take care of her. Abusive patterns repeat 99% of the time. That is my point.

If the biological father was worth a crap it wouldn't be a topic for discussion. It's about pride, responsibility, and accountability. It tells you a lot about a man's character. You also have to consider a biological father's rights to be with their child (in the cases where the father wants to play an active role in their child's life).

Well if it's that deep into the abuse then it's their fault for staying as long as they did. I'm sorry thats not an excuse. When it comes down to it the kids are the ones who suffer the most they watch that and then think it's ok when in reality it isn't. Women need to gain some self worth and show themselves they can leave. File charges and actually go through with it, don't go and bail them out thinking things will be ok come that night.

@@ItsAllLove4Real Thank you. People don't understand this until they've been through it. I was in an abusive relationship, went through with filing charges like a lot of ppl suggest, his grandma bailed him out, he found my daughter and I, threatened to kill her and I both if I didn't get back with him, etc. Trauma bonding is also a real thing, there's a psychology involved in this, it's much more than "Just leave". Also the law is not on your side in DV situations, it doesn't hold them accountable like it should. The woman eventually gets to a point where she finds a safe way to get herself and her children out of it, she just has to go through the process of it. It's easy to cast judgement and say all the stuff you "should do", so seeing someone with an understanding perspective like yours is refreshing, thank you for that.

I'm trying to shorten this as much as possible, the look in his face, and the quietness spoke volumes over him running his mouth, it screamed Steve I need help, but he was afraid to say it, you could see it clearly the way he shook his at head Steve when he asked him deep questions, he stopped mouthing Steve, and I believe he backed down from trying to be rude to Steve because he was only doing it to look good on TV to begin with, but that truth hit him, and I could tell he really did want Steve to help him he was afraid, but no man is going to stand there and take all of that and back off of going off, unless he has gotten to that stage of coming out of denial and wanting help just ashamed to say it aloud, I believe that he wasn't a waste of time for Steve to spend time with him, and I believe we'll hear from him again, for the girl she may never go back to him because some things you just can't repair the damage, and then again he may straighten up because I don't really think she wants to leave him. She just ran out of options and desperately called Steve. In the end either way I feel glad that she's going to get the help. I do hope if he is reading this message that he does reach out to Steve and get help for himself because I think he can change with some tough love that Steve gave him and I think he was ready for it he just was right there at that point of breaking and saying I need help and it just wasn't enough time on the show alone for it to get done. But his facial expression was priceless the way he shook his head quietly and nodded several times yes. They said the brain can lie but the body language cannot so all of that stuff he was putting out there was coming out of his mouth. But his body language told what was really going on with him he wanted to stay and figure out what the hell is wrong with him and how can it change it. I pray for them both I really do

It doesn't work. My relative would say "he changed." He changed since last week when he knocked your head off the wall? Finally we said fuxk it, and went along with it. The more we told her we accepted him, the better. I could see the disgust on her face if I pointed out what a wonderful person he is. When I would tell her the truth- he's a loser- she defended him. Once I went along with the "changed" bs, and told her how great he is, she couldn't take it. Try pretending to like him, mamas. It's the worst thing you could do to their relationship. ;)

As horrible as it must be to lose a baby. Let alone twins, the mental pain alone must be unimaginable. A tiny shining glimmer cones from the fact she isn't tied to this asshole for life and she didn't have to raise even more children under the horrible situation she was in. But of course I wish she had her babies :'(

Yes losing twins is very painful mentally more than physically but Yes it was a horrible experience but a blessing for her to get away from this crazy kid he's not a man and it's kinda her fault for getting involved with a 20 year when she's a 35 year old woman who has a 16 year old daughter wow her man is 4 years older than her daughter that's disgusting sorry but she should have known better and she should have put her children first and I don't think she's innocent in all that

On the real as a black woman talking to the rest of the black women: YOU NEVER EVER EVER EVER PUT A MAN BEFORE YOUR CHILDREN!!! NEVER DO THAT! I have a son and I NEVER put his father before my son in my entire life. When I was growing up, I've seen my own mother put my father before us kids and it made me very angry and bitter. So, I learned from my mom's mistake what to do and what NOT to do when you have children because they're going to remember that for the rest of their lives and let's just hope and pray that it won't destroy them because it almost destroyed me. Take heed of this message. I love all of you black queens 👑💖🌹

On Dec. 9th 2021 we found I had cancer, after he sent me straight to the emergency roomand they started to run test all over me.. I swear I never knew anything was even wrong with me but I am pretty much ate up with it, it's called small lung cell cancer. I woke up on 9th and my right leg wouldn't move and it still doesn't move when I stand up.. Come to find out I had 2 strokes and didn't even know.. crazy as it is, if not for the strokes that affected my leg, I probably would have died before the week was out I have brain, spine, lungs and liver cancer. When I we t back the next month he hugged me the second he came into the room.

Steve needs to tell these women the truth. They are BAD mothers! If you keep your child in an abusive, dysfunctional chaotic environment, you are a child abuser. Period. You belong in jail. Also, stop using these kids as excuses to fulfill your own selfish desires. You don't care ab your kid having a father. You care ab your own sick relationship. It's pathetic and blatantly obvious.

I hate when steve says, why dont you call the cops? Because steve if you call the cops and he goes to jail or doesnt..it warrants an ass beating when the cops leave, or when he gets out and finds you...also love when steve instigates the abuser to get worked up. Only thing I think is, hes going to take all that out on her when they get home. Most of these women stay cause they have been isolated from friends and loved ones. Nowhere else 2 go.. I love steve, but sometimes he thinks 2 much like a cop still.

I agree. I've thought that too. I've seen shows where the guys give the girls that look and stare that they was going to get it after the show. I've never been in a abusive relationship. Got lucky and been with my husband since I was 15 n I'm 64 now. And Steve gives cops to much credit. I was raped by a cop.
