We love ours! Almost 2.5 years and no real problems… the big screens aren’t great and ours could have been sealed a bit better but we sleep in it most nights (maybe 80-85% of the time). I’d definitely like the longer version but with a short 6 y/o we’re good for the moment. Enjoy!

Great camper Christoff. Here’s to loads of Adventures. Why not the Khaya Camper which is a full house canopy camper as I understand? What type of solar panel have you fitted? It looks light but still powerful enough!!
@GetOutGOАй бұрын
Thanks David! I think the Khaya is more for folks that want to retain their pickup as a work horse and take off the camper when they’re not camping. It’s also designed for mid-size trucks so I think you’d actually lose interior space on a S/C Land Cruiser compared to a Canopy Camper. It’s also a lot heavier (400kg empty, 700 kitted).
@GetOutGOАй бұрын
The solar panel is a 380w semi-flexible mounted on correx (for ventilation). Outdoor Campers sell them www.outdoorcampers.co.za/

Hi Chris, I have a quick question. Did you "fix" the track difference between the front and rear axles on your Land Cruiser, and if so, where di you get it done in SA? Thanks, and keep up the excellent work, love the channel. Cheers, Clint

There is one area that this setup is more superior than most, “the ability to get up in the morning, sneak into the lower section for a quick cup of coffee and rusks and look out the window into the open unfenced big 5 wilderness all in the safety of your setup. Nothing other than the troopy conversion can give you that. Period

Very nice setup! Assume the 253kg is for the AluCab setup only excl the tanks, batteries & fridges. I love the setup for those inclement weather days. Just a RTT makes those days... er... regrettable.

Hi Christoff just want find out, the Alu cab zip up bags that you have fitted under the bed, are those sold separately from Alucab or is it part of the Camper on purchase?I have an Icarus conversion on my Landy and want to fit the same to the underside of my bed. Thanks and regards Barry.

Hi Barry, they’re sold separately, you should be able to order them from Outdoor Campers (Centurion) or a Megaworld near you.

I live in the Nevada desert of America, what do you suggest to keep inside cool for our 115 F summers?
@GetOutGOАй бұрын
We’re regularly in the Kalahari, also around those temps. We have 2 Sirocco fans and usually try to find some shade. If you then open all the doors with the mozzie nets down it cools down quite a bit. You can look at something like an Ecoflow Wave aircon but the power usage doesn’t make it very practical

I would love to know why Alu-Cab is using white fabric on the inside ceiling of their campers and conversions now!? Do they not know about dusty conditions and the hundreds of mozzies you are going to be swatting over the lifetime of the canopy. For the love of all things pure and good, they need to change back to black!
